“The detail is awesome! The ease of putting it together is really nice too. It is really roll sensitive so make sure you have plenty of expo and put a little up trim on the elevator for easy hand launches.”
“I used to watch f 8 s allthe time at nas barbers pt . this bird is accurate the build went great, the c/g is right on with 1600s this series looks like lots of bang for the buck..... don”
“First of all the plane is very nicely done. It is a good size and the motor provides enough power and then some. As far as assembly it goes together in about 30 minutes and is mostly glue joints. I did mine with epoxy 30 minute. This allows you to adjust for the proper alignment of the tail and wing surfaces so as to make a straight plane. It takes a bit more time, but is well worth the effort. I didn't care much for the 2 servos being used for the flying surfaces. I don't think they will last long for proper alignment and will most like change after usage or time. The plane flyies well. I like to fly mine at about 2/3 throttle. Plenty of power. I do this, and say this, because of the size of the plane and color. In a very short period it gets out of sight, especially if trim is not quite as it should be on a maiden flight. Trying to watch the plane and getting to an airplane that needs attention to trim is a little difficult. At full throttle on a 3s 2200mah it gets about 5 minutes plus. Landing on a dirt field does have a tendency to get the bird pretty banged up after just a few flights. Flying on grass would be a high recommendation. I also like to use a rocker panel tape on the bottom, but it still doesen't prevent all the rash. I am now am on my 3rd bird at this point the first two got out of sight pretty quickly so I would say be sure to keep it in close.Sincerely,Mako Smith”
“Great detail for the price, and fun to fly just about anywhere. Some plastic landing skids like on the Stinger 64 would be helpful, as to date it is not equipped with any belly protection. I fly with stock controls, 15 g of tail weight so I can move the battery forward in the battery compartment a bit, and 1800 mAh batteries. Thanks for modeling the F-8 Motion.”
“Tried 1800 lipo Admiral but its nose heavy with that. 1500-1600 was best and still need some up reflex. 30 c Admiral batteries are not as powerfull as i would like for this. 50 c or more would be better. Kind of wallows with not much power after hand launch until it gets up to step. You can cut some foam and put larger 1800 mah lipo back farther. I use wing tip skids on bottom and land on runway. My ground around runway is way too rough to land this in weeds/grass/prairie dog holes, etc and this would be smashed up on grass/weed landings.”
“I got this to go with my other 64mm jets. Whilst I have not flown this one yet I have no reason to believe it won't fly as well as the others. It looks very good up close with a decent amount of detail. I can hardly wait to fly it.....”
