Freewing Lippisch P.15 64mm EDF Jet - PNP Reviews

4.8 Rating 321 Reviews
Was very happy I bought this plane. It was extremely easy to assemble and with my new flysky i6 transmitter I bought, binded it and started flying in no time. I did a nose dive to the ground on the very first flight but only crashed because I installed a defective receiver so it was all my fault. Quick fix with the glue that came with the plane, no real damage. I like the material the plane is made of. That same afternoon I glued it, installed a good receiver, and just like that was up in the air in no time. Love this plane. Only one thing I would highly recommend is to set low rates and expo as it is a spinning top in the air. Once you dial it in and tame it down, she is a beautiful bird. Can't wait to possibly buy f8 crusader, and maybe also the f86 to add to my collection.. thanks so much again for this great, fast flying, spinning machine

I have 3 of these. 2 crashed. Before you fly this aircraft go to Hobbysquak.com and read up on it. It can be a tricky aircraft. Mine has legs on it. Flies very well and it's very fast. You can lose this aircraft fast if you take your eyes off it. Landings are easy. Take offs are smooth. This thing is worth its price.

This is a good jet, fairly easy to fly easy to build. But its not easy to handlaunch and you should use a lot less throw for low rates than the recommendation in the instructions. I have the rates for low at around 20% (40% at high rates) with 30% expo. still has good roll authority but easier to control at launch. also you need a lot of up elevator on launch at least 2mm I found. but you need to take it off once it's in the air so I put in a takeoff flight condition with 2mm up at launch and then take it off once its well up in the air.

Très bon jet en configuration lisse, par contre le vol avec train atterrissage révèle un grave manque de colle, résultat: fuselage décollé et cassé a l'atterrissage doux, vite réparé mais plus si beau !.

I actually bought a spare one incase they discontinue this plane. It flies extremely well. If you are used to this type of wing configuration like the Delta Ray then you already know how it's going to fly. Throw it up slightly and out with full power, as soon as you get any airspeed the controls are right there. Some of these toss jets can be tough to gain elevator/aileron authority. This plane does not seem to be nearly as hard as most and is a blast to fly. The next one I am going to bob the elevons a little on the ends so if a wing tip touches the ground first on landing it will not catch the ground and tear the hinge point which I already have repaired once. Aside from that it's small enough to take with you easily. I carry it, an 800mm P-51 & 800mm ME-109 bank and cranks whenever I am headed to a grass field. toss them in the car and roll. Much easier than loading up my 1.5 meter warbirds.

I bought this as my first RC EDF jet. It was easy to assemble and it looks really nice. I set up everything according to the manual. At my first test flight the hand launch went good but the plane was way too sensitive to control, which resulted in a crash a few seconds later... The nose got destroyed and the plane cracked from the front to the back, I managed to glue it together tho. Hopefully my second flight goes better.
