“This is a fun plane to fly. I solved the hand launch problems by adding the optional landing gear. This gives the plane a chance to build up some speed before having to fly. I successfully hand launched it one out of three times and came to the realization that its hard to hand launch it with enough speed to keep it up. Someone else said they used a catapult. I have asked this same question many times and have yet to get a satisfactory answer; when will the canopy be available as a part? I’d like one canopy set up with a camera and one without, not to mention what happens if a pilot loses a canopy?? Are we going to have to buy a whole 2nd plane to get a canopy? That’s a real issue I hope Motion RC will resolve with the manufacturer very soon.”

“As noted in many reviews below this can be a challenge to hand launch. After a number of attempts here is how to have 100% successful hand launches. First, assign a high rate of 100% just for your elevator. IMO you don't need a high rate for ailerons since it will spin like a top on low rates. Switch to high rates for take off and hold full up elevator with full throttle.. Have a buddy give it a very high angle of attack toss, the key is to keep the tail down until the wings bite. If you can handle that and toss it yourself good luck! Once the wings bite you can quickly back off elevator and throttle and switch to low rates. From that point on this little jet is a blast to fly. I originally was using a 3s 1800mah but then switched to a 3s 1300mah. The 1300 gives tons of power and at least 2 four minutes flights, more if not ******* the throttle. At full throttle this jet really moves, plus it has the rare capability to glide and float at low throttle due to weight and wing surface. My other recommendation is to put either some bright paint or decals (I used some neon orange) on the bottom to help with orientation. since this can get small very fast. I'm still getting completely comfortable but I'm now doing almost all of the aerobatics in my arsenal with this jet, at least those that don't require a rudder! :-D”
“Ultra-simple build... HOWEVER... the factory settings for CG and control throws ensure a hard nose-in crash. You must move CG back and/or set the elevator 2 to 3 degrees UP prior to hand launch. Recommend initial test flights over really tall grass or soft weeds to cushion an impact (or be prepared to repair the nose). After getting things sorted out- it flies beautifully.”

“Plane flies super fast, is very responsive and predictable. It does have a tendency to drop its nose slightly when full power is applied, even after cruising at half power. Be ready on the elevator at launch. I found low rates on my transmitter to be more than enough. A fun little plane to fly. For just under a hundred dollars I highly recommend it.”

“I ordered this little EDF Jet after reading the RCGroup thread about the P.15 . Also I was impressed about the motionRC videos. Unbelievable little EDF Jet ! What I like is that I can use my prefered Lipos from 1000mAh up to 2200 mAh and that I can fly it from very slow to very fast! It is very easy to handle during flying and landing. With the recommandation to move the elevator in up position (1,5 mm) during hand launch it is also no big deal to bring this little scream up in the air.”
