I've been enjoying my P15 and wanted to share my thoughts on it. First of all, don't even worry about hand launching it- Mine blasts straight out of my hand with no sinking or otherwise control issues. Easiest plane to had launch that I own. One of my flying buddies stays away from hand launched planes but after he saw this one he went home and ordered it. Second, it is an EXCELLENT flyer, goes fast like an arrow and yet will slow down well. I haven't had a good day to try and soar like a glider, but just watching it so far I think it would stay up in our summer lift. It took me about 30 minutes to assemble, very simple to do. Having flown it now, I have no trouble seeing the colors in the air so the only thing I may do is add clear packing tape on the bottom. So far grass landings have been slow and controlled, so no scratches on the bottom, but since it is so stable I may start landing on the runway (hence the need for packing tape). As usual shipping was fast and opening the box there are only a few pieces to assemble. Very straightforward, but I read the instructions anyway just to make sure I didn't miss anything. I used all the factory equipment that it came with and am flying it with both 1,000 and 1,300 mah 3s graphene batteries. I think it can easily carry an 1800 3s but haven't tried one yet. Although I read the manual, I have had many Me-163 Komet balsa planes and so set the controls up based on my experience. I suggest you use the manual settings if you haven't flown one of these.Performance is outstanding! I have plenty of Komet experience to compare with and also have a balsa scratch built P15. This one flies a LOT better. The design uses an efficient airfoil that has the correct reflex and washout for stability. Unlike some of my balsa wings, this one goes straight as an arrow at high speed and at low speed. It keeps directional stability even when flown at very low speeds, most of the others I have had would start wallowing around and drop a wing. This one stays straight. At high speed (I'm guessing 80 or better) it is easy to fly, very smooth and stable. Does great aerobatics, if you have high rate ailerons the rolls look like a drill bit. Rolls so fast I have to stop it first, then see if it is right side up before doing anything else. Of course on normal or low rate ailerons it is smooth and easy to fly. Just for grins I tried fast rolls into full down elevator which does something like an inverted snap roll. Very strong airframe as I entered those at full speed.I may try it on 4s next, should be a rocket! If you are sitting on the fence, just go buy it, will be a lot of fun. Everyone should have one of these in the hangar!

I think the C.G. as stated in the instructions is incorrect… the model is very difficult to launch. I do not recommend the model

The quality of the plane is first rate, it went together quickly (only a few pieces to glue) and it flies nice.Hand launching is another issue, the plane will dip a lot on launch so be ready on the up elevator. The three flights I've put on it I had someone launch it for me as I knew about the dip from the forums. Some guys have set up something like +10mm on the elevator for launching theirs and then it goes back to whatever normal up is for their plane. This is something I plan on trying.I'm flying mine on Admiral 1800 3S batteries, at full throttle the plane is FAST so I flew my three flights at half power with some full power passes. My time is set to 5 minutes. A fun little plane but it will get real small real fast!

Have not had any flying weather yet this year but this seems to be a very well made plane lots of room inside for batteries and RX , the rudder is even cast in a way to easy add a servo to control it if you want to
