“Alexander Lippisch designed both the rocket powered Me-163 Komet and this jet powered version that is essentially the same airplane. The model was about 90% complete out of the box and was very easy to complete. The Germans never got beyond drawings of this plane, but the model seems reasonably accurate for what little real information is available for the real one. I spent several hours adding some scale details such as 20mm cannon in the wing roots and 30mm cannon in the forward fuselage. I didn't like the piece of plastic tubing supplied for a pitot tube, so I replaced it with one made from two different diameters of brass tubing covered with a thin layer of solder to simulate metal. The company advertises the cockpit floor as being flat so the modeler can add a video or FPV camera. The problem with that idea is that you cannot remove the canopy without seriously damaging the model and then you have to design some form of reattaching it and still be removable. I usually put pilots in my models with cockpits, but again, you have to damage the CP area to get into it. I have not flown this model as yet because of the terrible weather.”

“What a fun little model. A little up elevator on launch and wow what performance! Rolls like a corkscrew and excellent speed and stability. Glides like a glider and easy to land. The only thing better would be to be in the cockpit of the full scale prototype at 550 mph.”
“Speaking of performance, scale appearence and flight time it is actually a good buy. That being said,be VERY cautious when throwing it in the air. It'll spin off your hand and crash hard if you don't follow the instructions and practice a few times with other hand lanch models. To give you an idea, I've been in the hobby for more than 10 years and already have dealt with underpowered nicd brushed planes that where way easier to throw without stress than this one. It is definately not an easy model to get in the air, although it's easy to fly and land. My suggestion would be to put a gyro in it to help keeping it stable while throwing it. Not saying it's bad, but if you actually want a first time edf that flies without hassle you have better options on the market.”

“Plane went together super fast, and was super easy. i had no issues getting the plane to balance using a 1800 ma 3 cell lipo. 5 mm reflex was also put into the tail which I’m not sure i needed, maiden was without event. plane flew straight fast and true. A plus”

“This Delta-Wing Jet is fantastic. It is very powerfull and fast. It is easy to handle and the functions are agile. Be carefull not to loose it out of sight due to very high speed. Flying time with 1800mAh Lipo is great, up to 5 minutes.”
