Extremely fast, had to dial the rates down but after that I became more comfortable flying it and after about 4 good flights I was locked in and hooked as the MIG 21 has become a true favorite of mine, love it’s looks size and speed. I will say keep it close because she will shrink on you quickly. Overall I’m extremely pleased with this purchase at a price you can’t beat. Thanks MRC for this one!!!

I've mainly been flying edf's for a while now, and this one is by far the fastest and best looking. I finally maidened it a month after the build because of poor flying conditions. Ailerons are too twitchy, but nothing that can't be fixed with a little programming. It flies very stable and will leave your mouth wide open on a full-throttle pass. The only flying issue is that it will stall very easily and I could feel it when banking for the final. Be sure to use flaps on takeoff, especially when taking off the grass. I never use flaps on maidens, but it took me a while to find this out. Also, the pitot tube will break off very easily. Overall a great jet and easy build!

I bought the last one of these after the big price cut, glad I did! I really like the paint scheme and this one didn't disappoint. The fit was great, and the foam was in excellent condition. I assembled mine and laid out the c.g. with the battery I wanted to use, it is a 5000mah 6s battery, pretty heavy at 844 grams. at the factory c.g. the battery is located at the back of the wooden tray with room to go back more. I did slide it back about 1/2 inch after the first flight, but I found the factory c.g. of 190mm to be a perfect starting point! I used as I always do high rates for elevator and low rates for aileron, I found this to be perfect for first flight. She took off in a reasonable rollout and climbed right up. After trimming it flew awesome! It does require a little bit of up elevator trim for full flaps but not much, maybe 4 or 5%. I flew it with a gps data logger and I clocked 113mph. Not too shabby. Definitely not the fastest 80mm but respectable. She is definitely a high alpha machine and loves to point the nose up. Have to watch the alpha when landing, it will drag the tail. I am an experienced pilot but lately I have been installing gyros in all my jets. They just fly better, and not effected by wind. I mounted my gyro in the back as close to c.g. as I could get it. I made really long wires (I have the crimping tool to make my own servo leads, a great investment) and mounted my receiver up front. This keeps the antennas away from the esc. It worked great. I cut a 10 deg. foam wedge and installed it under the gyro, the floor of the plane is tapered back where the gyro is to keep the gyro level with the fuselage. Thats about it, looks great, love it!

This thing is AMAZING from the quality to the flight characteristics. I got the HP model which comes with more complete than the older model..No need to remove the cheater grill and glue in the plastic pieces to protect the esc wires, comes already done. Great flyer PERIOD!!!! ***NOTE*** the Aileron throws recommended are way way too much 14mm is all you need and you might want less. For easy set up so not adjusting to much in the TX On Spektrum I went in 1 hole on the AIL servo arms set my travel to 65% (If you don't go in one hole travel will be like 45ish percent) Reason is out the box in outer hole at 100% travel the throw is 22mm. Here are my videos posted on YouTube for the unboxing, assembly and maiden flight.GET SOME!!!.NOONZ OUT!!!Unboxing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OklNu6HjMzc&t=1sAssemblyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSk1nRxVnWo&t=322sMaidenhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0hbZBzPc2i8

Great looking model, easy build and assembly. Flying is definitely for advanced pilots not a model to choose if it’s your first edf.
