“As an OSU alumni, I couldn’t resist getting this plane as my first EDF jet! I’ve only had one flight on it, and I had a landing that was too fast, and ran off our runway, and did the old porpoising thing, into the grass. I figured that the retracts would be toast, and the fuse all messed up…..but NO! No damage! Retracts still work great! Tough little Jet! Can’t wait to fly again.”

“Ok, initially I had some issues with the V2, after reading other reviews and the Avanti V2 reviews on Facebook I was able to dial the aircraft in and WOW.Initially I had issues with the nose gear, aileron throws, and the cg and the maiden I was a barn burner - quite a bit of sky writing. The throws that Freewing recommends are way too much for the ailerons. On low rate they call for 22mm, I've reset mine to 12 and the aircraft flies on rails and rolls as if the aircraft was set up on high rates. The CG, I placed the battery back to the wing spar and it's still a touch too nose heavy - using 5,000 mAh batteries. The nose gear spring is way under rated for flying on a thick turf field. I tried removing the spring and inserted a piece of fuel line (approx. 3/16"). Just didn't like the feel/compression, so I put the spring back in and this time I inserted 1/8" fuel line inside the spring - works perfectly. Now takeoffs and landings are uneventful, the aircraft now handles nicely on a thick grass field. to those who made suggestions on set up and changes, thank you...”

“I absolutely love this plane! I've flown it 10 times now off grass and it rotates no problem at all. Smooth sweeping aerobatics look amazing and the sound is incredible! I only have one issue and that is the recommended rates were too much! I'm flying the plane on 2/3 the recommended low rates and it not only looks far more realistic, but it's much easier to control at speed.”

“This is my first EDF. And to be honest I was a little intimidated having only flown props before. This thing is truly a blast to fly. And while I probably would recommend the the radio setting that are in the manual (just to much I feel).There are some setting that are toned down enough to make that first flight awesome. Assembly is easy and really takes no time at all.”
