“For this model I had installed a spektrum AR 630 (fits perfectly on the battery tray if you use a 5000mah battery) and used a spektrum 6s 5000mah 30C. This plane flies really well and lands so easy! This is a really forgiving model and will do wonders in the air! However, I would recommend on spending a bit extra for at least a 50C battery. The only negative thing about this EDF is the lack of LED lights. Other than that this is a solid performer. (For those who are interested, SAFE works really well on this model, I didn't have to change anything but increasing the banking angle limit. Though it's really just my preference)”

“First flight was going fine. The T-33 takes a pretty good run to get airborne. Once airborne if flies very well. Power is not what I would call great but it is adequate. Landing is another subject. I made a good approach at a reasonable speed. Set down on our grass runway and the nose gear folded. When the nose gear folded the main gear doors dug into the grass and both main gear were ripped out of the plane. Now I'm replacing all three gear. Next time it flies it will be without gear doors and I'll use a better glue than was used by the factory.”

“Very disappointed in fuselage finish as compared to wing and tail surfaces. Fuse has two places touched up with a brush. Around fuse canopy opening, foam smashed down and wrinkled.Rest of fuse surface foam looks like someone took a heat gun to dry paint. I like the plane other wise but again the fuse is reason not to purchase another T-33. May have to look at a replacement fuse on future.”

“I found the kit very easy to assemble and set up and very well made. Our field is small, with a 250’ by 20’ landscape fabric runway with tall trees at each end.I have been flying Kyosho 45mm EDF’s since they first came out in 2007 so I am not new to EDF’s.I recently bought an AL37 (awesome plane!) which I have dozens of flights on and found it easier to take off and land then the T-33. The steering on the T-33 is more sensitive on the ground then the AL37. This may be due to the shorter distance between the nose gear and main landing gear. I’m going to try expo in the rudder to see if that helps. I watched all the videos I could find on T-33 flights and it seemed the landings should be fairly benign. Well, I had to go around 3 times, despite a 5 knot headwind, to get it to settle down on the runway, albeit the end and then roll into the grass. Luckily there was still plenty of battery (6000mAh) left after my 3 min flight plus 3 go-arounds.My landing technique was the same as the AL37. Gear and first flaps on downwind and base. Landing flaps on final with nose pointed down and power off till close to the ground in front of the runway. Nose up and settle on the runway with a bit of power. I guess I need to bring it closer to the ground before flaring or add less power once in the flair attitude. Just don’t want a stall spin in the flair.Second takeoff (no expo yet, but less rudder travel) was a bit better, but still had to go around 3 times to land and still touched down at the very end of the landscape fabric.I am a pattern pilot, and this plane is great at basic aerobatics. So, I just need to find a better landing profile, or perhaps add speed brakes as some owners have done.BTW, I have been a full scale pilot since 1994.”

“Overall the plane is very good BUT the canopy latch pin was not secured to the lever (POOR QUALITY CONTROL) had to superglue it. Only noticed it was not engaging in the canopy by accident , could have resulted in lost canopy”
