Take offs are nice if you ease into the throttle. Very stable. Flying was also smooth and easy. It handles very well. Loops and rolls are easy. It's not a fan of crosswinds. I have this issue with most of my foam aircraft. It's an easy to handle aircraft. I fly with a 6s 5000 battery.

I have had the 262 for several week and had it tuned in perfectly. On the start of my last takeoff run I herd a pop and the jet spun wildly out of control damaging a wing and pylon. On examination the right fan had separated from the motor chewing up the duct and causing the spin out. Best I can tell there was no lock tight used to insure this would not happen. What a terrible end to such a beautiful jet.

The ME262 is a wonderful flyer with good speed, good ground control and is easy to land with few bad habits. On the downside, after four good flights, a serious mishap occurred. On takeoff, I herd a pop as the aircraft spun out of control scrapping the wingtips and nose. Having shut down immediately after the pop, the plane was not totally destroyed. Turns out that one of the rotor left the motor shaft and tore up the inside of the duct. It appears from looking in the duct that no locktight was used to fasten the rotor to the shaft. Very disappointed that such a great looking plane now needs so much repairs. Will also check the other fan.Jeff Nemit

This is a magnificent WWII Warbird. Takes off smoothly and cruises gracefully. However the nose gear has snapped TWICE!! The inch pin that links nose strut and wheel to the servo moter drive keeps breaking when there was only a small bounce on landing. Could Freewing please use harder metal for this important part?

Outstanding rendition of the 262. Tilt up both ailerons a few degrees to reduce tip stalls. On takeoff run build up plenty of speed and let it liftoff naturally, don’t jerk it off runway. While a gyro is not required, it does make flying more relaxing since it is difficult to have equal thrust from both edfs at all power settings.

I love flying this jet, the sound is great, very fast, looks good in the air, probably my favorite jet. She goes where I put her, handles and lands good.

Ok I needed a 1500mm German plane for my WW2 collection. Have recently upgraded to 1400mm-1600mm warbirds. My last German was ta-152 but it’s in the smaller range so I had to crash it. Anyhow I bought this because it filled the German slot and was a jet and was the first jet so,..duh. It flies so well that I’d pick it over a 1500mm mustang of mine in a dogfight. It flies slow, very fast and maneuvers like a single piston engine fighter. Also the sound when your decelerating of the air rushing through the motors will give you goosebumps. Accelerating sounds great too but something about the way the air forces through without power makes it all that much better. Has a ‘mean’ presence which is perfect. Also, I’ve always complained about short flight duration with jets. The large wings allow for much more conservative throttle and 5 min flight times are easy to come by. I’ve had 6+ but wasn’t really flying that hard. Paint is realistic; battery compartment large and landings no prob. Awesome plane-top two of my 20 planes. All of which are high quality, large planes.

me262 is a very good jet to fly. easy to assemble. easy to land.I never use flaps with it. You do have to watch the take off as it will take off very quick. I hold a little down elevator at first and when I let off it takes off without any up elevator. very fun jet to fly!
