“Ordered my all time favorite fighter the Tomcat! Kit was easy to build.....went stock and used 2X 5000mah lipos....maiden was excellent including going right into a wing sweep mode. Not recommended for a novice RC pilot as she flies “heavy” and you need to stay way ahead of her but experienced RC pilots will live her scale looks and great flight performance! I will be buying another soon to do another scheme! This airpane is a winner!!!!”

“I have to start by saying that the F-14 is my favorite plane of all time. When I unpacked it was I was very impressed by the quality and presentation. Assembling it was fairly easy. I did a few modifications including replacing the battery tray. I disabled the ailerons with the wings swept, which worked just fine. However, I would strongly discourage using any Admiral receiver in this airplane, especially if you plan on placing it under the top hatch near the wing sweep mechanism. Mine just crashed due to a brown out on the 10ch Admiral receiver. Beautiful airplane but I would strong recommend that you do not use that receiver under the wing cover. Hope this helps.”

“I ordered this jet and received it THE NEXT DAY! Way to go Motion RC!It was packed very well and was in pristine condition. I took my time building and watching videos so I could get ahead of possible problems. I had problems setting up my Spektrum radio due to the lack of instructions. There is a mixing board in the jet which handles the magic with the tailerons, but it doesn't tell you how to setup your model to take advantage of it. I'll save you some headache and tell you. Set your model to 1 aileron and 1 flap. The landing gear seems to be a weak area but since I don't plan to use a grass runway I chose to leave that stock. In hindsight that was a problem. On the maiden flight I over ran the runway on landing and folded the nose gear. It LOOKS robust but the plastic brace from the fuselage to the strut is weakened and needs to be beefed up. I plan to put a carbon fiber rod in mine. I'm guessing others have had this same problem because the parts are not in stock... Are you listening Motion RC? This would be a cheap fix.I did the battery box mod to allow for larger batteries (one plywood platform front to back and carve the foam back to the wing fold mechanism). I also decided to use RC Geek's programming as it sounds like the jet is way too sensitive in wing retracted mode. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aemFYyQq6KY )On maiden takeoff I had a hard roll to the right which I can't really explain. Full left trim would not level the jet. (remember I setup with non-standard control surfaces) After landing I checked control surfaces and they looked neutral (after taking my trim back out). I'm not sure if some geometry is off a bit on my jet or if it just needs more trim. I haven't retracted the wings in flight yet so I don't have all to data I need to decide on a direction to take.Even with the trim issue, it flew predictably. Over running the runway was my own fault as I came in a bit hot due to the sensory overload of a maiden I could not completely trim up.In summary, that nose gear brace needs more strength. Overall I like the jet. It flies well and I think with some tweaking I will really love it.”

“Hello The model is cool and I like it, there's only one problem, it's the chassis. The mount is too weak, you need to make corrections (redo the aluminum hardware, you should make a new, larger aluminum fitting that will attach the sash and the supporting undercarriage) for such money, something like that should not happen, but I'm happy with the purchase. best regards”

“The instruction manual is flawed when setting up the control surfaces. The ailerons and elevators are mixed inside the electronics of the craft and no disabling it. The manual gives the hi and low limits of the ailerons, but if you follow this there will be too much contol on the elevators. The manual doesn't show where to set this correctly. You have to guess and if you don't guess right, the aircraft will be too sensitive to fly resulting in unsable flight and a disastrous outcome of a crash, which I had the misfortunate outcome on my maiden flight. When I reported this to the seller hoping to get a replacement, I was told that the manufacture will not accept any responsibility. Thus I am left with a totally damaged and unrepairable aircraft which ends up in the garbage. A total waste of money! I am in total dismay that I got zero support for this. Suckiest purchase ever!!!”
