“I have flown it 3-4 times now and the first time I could barely keep it in the air the trim was so off. After correcting it and flying straight for a while it would randomly turn to the side and start to fall. I have other Hera and I can get all of them to fly straight and level. It this one and the f-14 from freewing are a little unstable. It does have pretty good power though.”

“Looks great, easy to assemble, amazing performance in the air, my only complaint is that like the real F-22 with its low visibility color scheme it is very hard to see when it flies in front of clouds. Since my model will never see a scale contest, I have already painted the wing and vertical fin tips with neon orange over a white base coat, and black under the wingtips. This makes it easier for me to tell what the plane's attitude is during maneuvers. In addition, its amazing acceleration from a standing start for take off gets everyone's attention.”

“A few weeks back, I purchased the F-22 Raptor 8S 90mm and maidened it last weekend. The flight was 5 seconds when it inverted and went straight into the ground. I subsequently sent a service ticket to MotionRC and received a very prompt response on Monday morning asking for information and pictures to document the cause of the crash. I noticed when I picked up the wrecked plane that the left aileron was not glued and only had one drip of glue holding it on from the carbon fiber spar in the control surface. Once I sent the pictures to Martin on Monday afternoon, he promptly told me that they were sending another model. This is why I have the confidence to purchase from MotionRC. Not once was there a question of not replacing the plane but only that they wanted to ensure it wasn't pilot error. I have 15+ airplanes that I have purchased throughout the last 6 years from MotionRC and I will continue to do so. I have already shared the good news of the replacement with my club and I believe that a few of them will now consider shopping at Motion. Thank you again for your help Martin. “The model goes together easily, and flys well. I added nav lights to mine the factory installed wing board supports 2 different light functions without adding any additional connections. The two ports are already wired from the fuselage port to the MCB box for Constant on NAV lights and landing lights. I easily removed the landing light lead on the MCB wire harness, put a piece of shrink wrap over it and plugged it in the the flashing position light on the MCB so that I have flashing strobe lights with my NAV lights. The only 2 things that do not make sense are that the trailing link on the nose gear is made of plastic instead of aluminum, although the fan housing is aluminum instead of plastic. The other is why the wings did not get the lights factory installed, 4 LED’s and two three conductor two foot servo wires would not have been a big expense to add it cost me less than $1 and about fifteen minutes to install mine. I fly it on 2 thunder power 5000 55C 4S packs. Full throttle completely depleted the batteries in three minutes, it will stay in the air comfortably for four minutes with about 30 seconds of full throttle reserve if you use mostly half to 3/4 throttle. Top speed reached in a dive was 132mph top speed for level flight was 115mph. It is easy to land and take off on our grass field. Our field is rolled, has short grass and is 900 ft long. I use about 150 to 200 feet to get into the air.”

“The title of this review is called intimidation. Since the day that it had arrived in the mail, it has been the most number one thing that I have focused on for about three weeks up until I finally flew it. I was scared that I had bought another $600 model that was going to end up into the ground. I was intimidated by its size and price tag. Given The fact that the F a 22 raptor is my most number one favorite aircraft in the world. I was intimidated by the thought of losing it. But the moment that I took it to the runway after weeks of testing and properly setting it up. It took off to the skies with more colors than it was painted with! It’s so gentle, so responsive. It is such a true sweetheart. The real FA-22 Raptor Is intimidating And this model is truly the best sight to see in the skies. It flies so nice! Preflight everything. Make your measurements PRECISE, treat it good and it will always remind you why you fell in love with the hobby and aviation! The landing was amazing! I love this bird.”
