“This jet flies incredibly well. I’m using AS3X+ and it’s just so smooth and precise. I went with an 8S power system using a single 8S 5900 pack and it balances perfectly and flight times are 6-8 minutes with aggressive throttle. Landings are buttery smooth. On approach keep the nose level and control descent rate with thrust and it’ll settle into a perfect approach and you won’t have to worry about stalling. Simply fantastic jet. Highly recommend. Also pro tip, don’t glue on your stabilizer covers until you’ve flown it and have finalized adjustments.”

“I purchased the F18 in the Blue Angles livery. The airplane is very scale and is of good quality. I have flown this airplane several times off a low-cut grass strip with no issues. The 90MM EDF produces ample power. I feel this is not a beginner EDF. Takeoffs are scale and the airplane accelerates very quickly. Flight is smooth and the airplane is overall responsive. However, this is a challenging aircraft to land. I have my aircraft setup with a GPS that gives me audible ground speed readouts. I have found that an overall safe speed to begin the approach fully configured with full flaps is about 50 MPH. when bank angles are increased beyond approximately 30 degrees when turning final the aircraft will start to slip in the turn which requires an increase in thrust to off- set the loss of lift, as a result, aircraft speed increases and you can find yourself very fast on final. A gentle turn to final seems to resolve this. As long as speed is stabilized on final the airplane lands well. If you find yourself unstabilized on final do not attempt to land . Let the airplane completely roll out and come to a stop before making any turns. Due to the narrow main wheel base the airplane is susceptible to tipping even at low speeds. I have found, this livery color can be difficult to see as the blue can make the aircraft look black. I have lost track of it several times. I haven't had this problem with other EDF's I own. I added a yellow sunburst pattern to the upper wing and that did help. lastly, the nose gear strut on my aircaft is jamming fully closed, as a result the Nose gear doors are not closing completely as the wheels are hitting the doors after retraction. overall this is a great jet, fun and challenging to fly. I highly recommend it.”

“Flies great, running mine on 8s. Could use a few updates to the nose gear door and a little more room in the battery tray. The nose gear door isn’t servo operated or sequenced, so the the mechanism ids easily messed up with a few unfortunate landings. Watch the control throws…otherwise you can tip stall it and lose control. Can’t fly her like a Raptor, but a great looking and flying bird.”
