“Had a faulty control box with my first Hornet causing damage on the first flight. Got in contact with customer service and had a replacement sent out. I bypassed the control box for my elevator ailerons and flaps and she flies beautifully. A very big thank you to the staff at motion RC for all their help a first class service.”

“I just completed the maiden flight (plus one) on my F-18 ARF Plus with the Freewing 90mm 12-Blade EDF 6S Power System w/ 4068-1835kV motor. (out of my old Freewing F-15) I can’t directly compare this power system to the stock 9-Blade HP version, but I can say the 12-Blade is a fantastic match for the F-18. Our club resides at about 4500’. The F-18 flew with ample power and speed. It even has a unique whistle sound that made the low passes ever more pleasing. The wind was 12mph, quartering crosswind to the runway. That proved to be a non-issue. The F-18 handled the wind, no problem. The build was relatively straight forward, no complaints. The factory recommended CG proved conservatively fwd for initial flights. A good starting point. Inverted flight required more down elevator input that I prefer. I will adjust the CG back slightly on future flights. A little Valspar clear really brought the blue paint to life. The F-18 looks fantastic in the air. The second flight was 3:40 from takeoff to landing. This left me with 45% left in the SMC 40c 6200. Impressive! I will be able to dig into the throttle more in the future when I’m feeling the need for speed. Overall, the F-18 has been a pleasure. Ohh, and I’m also a Flex Aura 8 with full time Tailerons. That worked very well! Not necessary I’m sure. But fun.”
