“Now that the Blue Angel has Full Metal Gear servos instead of the hybrid servos had in the beginning, the Blue Angel has been a joy to fly. I have been able to push my 8s setup without the worry of the elevator servos not working and crashing. For me it is one of the best flying freewing jet available.”

“This is an exceptional flying airplane. Right out of the box there were no issues. I did buy the ARF + so I placed a Jet fan with a Het 700-68 -2100 Kv in to it. Not a whole lot of flying time, but the performance is worth it. At least the way I see it. I also went with a little more through than that called for in the manual. I also used 3 rates on each flying surface and I found that 100% with 20% expo was right for me. The plane lands fine and the take-offs are without any issues as well. I did find that a little aft of CG was a better flier for me. I paced the CG about 1/4 of an inch more aft and the landings seem to be very predictable . I did need to go to about 9mm up on the elevator in lieu of the 7mm as shown in the instructions. Aeilrons were close, but for some reason my airplane wanted a little right about 10 clicks on a Spectrum radio. I believe this may be due to the placement of the EDF inside of the fuse. But no big thing. After the maiden it flies very well with the adjustments. I will probably buy another and do the gray and use the Black Aces livery.”

“My first F-18 crashed on Maiden do to wires being severed in the elevator which caused a glitch and an immediate nose dive totaling The Craft, motion RC replaced it for free. My second Blue Angel F-18 almost crashed because the servos in the elevator are two weak for an 8's setup and after five flights started stripping out, I noticed I had a problem when it wouldn't do a loop at full speed, it just kept straight, I got it down luckily, I took the elevator servos apart and they were slightly stripped, these are hybrid parts Mostly plastic. This jet comes with weak servos and will crash unless you replace them. Freewing has built great Jets Out of the Box, this one I will give a 3 Because all servos need to be replaced if you are using 8s setup from my testing.”
“Very nice looking and all that, flies great but mine had issues, almost crashed it on take off, everytime the gear went up the rudders would go left, gear down the rudders went back straight, bypassed the Blue Box and all is good. Five flights later with gear down and full flaps, it rolled over on it's own and almost crashed again, raised the flaps before it hit mother earth and it straightened out and I saved it, so now with 29 flights to date it all seems fine, never did figure out the flaps problem, MRC did contact me and told me to open a ticket, I didn't because I don't want a replacment Blue Box, I hate them and will not use one if I can bypass everything.”
