Overall quality and performance are good. One area that really needs attention for improvement is the landing gear. Fixed gear legs on anything less than a perfect hard surface runway need to be replaced with one type suspension as on the larger models. The flange on one retract unit failed on the second landing and I had to order replacement units hoping they provide a significantly longer life than the first two.

I was going to rate this five stars, but after reading all the other reviews I decided to say it's very good instead of excellent. The flaws on mine are the same as on others. First, it is a beautiful model and I'm very happy I have it. Parts fit, nice paint job, smooth electronics, all are terrific. Here's why it's not excellent overall. The first criticism is the flap setup. Regardless of the adjustments both mechanically and electronically, they will not deploy the same. If separate channels were used, it could work properly, but there's no easy method to get the extra servo wires in there comfortably. You can get the deployment close, but not perfect. Deploying them past 1/2" down will cause the plane to shift to one side at slow speed. Next, one of my tires was glued to the wing in the retracted position. As someone else pointed out, the paint was still wet when the gear was installed. I fixed it by removing the unit from the wing and gently tugging on the tire which took a small chunk out of the foam on the tire and also the foam on the plane. I was happy to have purchased the spoked wheels which look better and are just a bit firmer than the stock wheels. As others mentioned, the balance was corrected with 3.5 ounces of lead in the cowl. A heavy hub on the prop would have corrected this and the manufacturer should consider providing one the way others do. There are some other minor issues, not worth mentioning, mostly minor paint flaws. The plane is a bit heavier than I expected, but the wing loading is manageable. It's a good value, really good looking, and as I mentioned already, I'm happy to have it.

I love this SeaFury. I need 5 oz of weight in the nose which is common for most of these warbirds. The 4000 mAh recommended flies the model well, with lots of elevator authority. I’ll find use a 5000 mAh which will add more nose weight; then Reno races look out. I’m gonna hit the pylons at the flying field. Fast, low, & turn left.

Great looking and flying war bird. Build was simple and straightforward. On a 4s 4000 has spectacular performance. I would have given it 5 stars, but I was missing the optional free hinge upgrade.

The plane went together well and flies great. My only complaint was getting the CG accurate (2.75oz. in cowl). Once balanced properly it flies very scale.

Snow and cold here in Denver so the maiden is on hold for a couple of weeks or until things dry out and warm up. The plane is beautiful looking however for some reason the left tire was glued to the frame and I almost lost a servo. I'm also suspect of the balance points. I've got 4 Oz in the nose to almost balance and should be OK for the Maiden. I'll invert it and see what it does and go from there. Gary Brady
