“The first P38 crashed on the second flight(https://youtu.be/vQ1nE8_Efc0) due to horn separating from elevator.Suggest anyone buying this awesome plane at least check control horns closely or replace them. I replaced the elevator horn in my second P38. Other than the horn issue I highly recommend the plane. It is beautiful and fast!!”

“The detail on this plane is absolutely phenomenal. I thought is might be a little sluggish due to the weight of the aircraft but i was pleasantly impressed on how well it floated. One simple mod I did was convert the plane to 5s and wow it really made it come alive. Now I have power for unlimited vertical or if you get ur self in a bad situation. NOTE: Plane flew great stock but if ur a guy that likes raw power than 5s is the answer”

“First, I love this plane. It is a beautiful airplane and flies as well as she looks.I flew the maiden and it was perfect. I went around the pattern a couple times to trim and came in for a good landing. At 3 minutes I had 70% battery left so I went up for a second flight. This time I tried a roll which went well and then I tried to go vertical to see what see would do. At the top I tried to loop her over and it didn't loop. This is the biggest plane I flown so I thought perhaps her momentum was not enough to loop over. On the way down I applied a little elevator and nothing.After the crash we looked at the elevator and the horn had separated from the elevator. On closer inspection there was very little glue holding the elevator on (see pictures).If you buy this P38, which she is gorgeous, I suggest closely inspecting the elevator control horn for any signs of separation. I will buy another one and I'll mod the elevator control horn with something more robust and rigid.”

“Great plane. It went together easy, the only complaint I have is with the lights in that module. I couldn't get the right wire in the right slot so I just left them all out. Lights don't make a plane fly good or bad. I haven't flown it yet but I know it'll fly good.”

“This is a retro review, my P-38 has been a sad pile of foam sitting on a top shelf for quite some time. The crash was no fault of the plane, just momentary loss of signal due to my carelessness. I flew the plane with the included 3 blade props and performance was outstanding, easy scale takeoffs and landing, any intermediate pilot will easily land this one it almost flies like a trainer but still has plenty of speed and power for people like me who like to push way beyond scale flight. Like a lot of previous reviewers i recommend testing the glue holding the main gear often as it will turn loose eventually after some less than perfect landings. I' browsed all the new planes that came out since the P-38 was released and don't see anything that catches my eye more this plane - P-38 it is! I gave this a 5 star rating in all categories but will say be patient, take your time and enjoy the build - it's tedious but not difficult.”

“i received in 5 days, well package no issues with the parts except the clousure of the cockpit that was blocked by an excess of adhesive,not a big trouble i solved easy.all the instructions clear and helpfull ,adjustments position flaps, elevons included ...no issues with light, instructions has a litle mistake makes wing tips light one is flsshing other fixed, easy to identify and change for the bottom light cable. then both are fixed bottom is flashing.amazing finition and with a lot of adhesives.all my friends say it is so beatiful.i spent two weeks to have it totally finished with 2 or 3 hours daily.in paralel i am improving my flight skills to be able to flight it...may be a couple of months more....i keep my fingers crossed..thanks Motion Rc to make p38 posible with so good balance quality Vs price.”

“What can I say except this 38 is awesome taking off, flying and landing. She will act like a kitten until you want the tiger to come out, and then watch out.!!!! I maiden her 2 months ago and fly her ever chance I get. She does like power in the turns so watch for tip stalls just like other fighters. I have bought enough spare parts to build another one but I see I will not need too for a long time. As for landing , just put flaps down and let her settle in. Great Job Motion.”
