Was advised to upgrade the undercarriage and really pleased that I did. Flew the TigerCat for the first time on the sheep grazed common land, the suspension was brilliant, great takeoff and landings, over flared on the second landing and bounced, but the undercarriage soaked up the bumps. Noted on the internet that the spring motion was stiff so lightly oiled the shafts before assembly onto the plane. Cannot be more pleased.

The nose gear was missing a axel and retainer clip for the suspension, I solved it my supplying a 2mm bolt. After assembly the weel could move from left to right without servo input upon inspection one of the bold that retains the wheel steering ring had been stripped …. I solved it by creating new threads and supply again a 2mm bolt. All in all this should not be secession on a new “upgrade” set.

I bought 2 sets of these for my 2 F7F Tigercats. We have to fly from a grass field that is not 'Manicured Grass' as one of your people said was needed, so the gear work just fine, but the mounts set into foam that is getting beat up and making them loose.

I installed these on my Tigercat fairly quickly thanks to the video from MotionRC/PilotRyan but I had one major issue: the screw that the nose gear door spring attaches to was too long and I couldn't secure the spring to it. It didn't turn when I put the spring around it at all (even though it was backed out at least 1mm) and when I attempted to tighten it down, the head snapped off leaving the shaft in the screw hole and nothing for me to attach the spring to. This appears to have blocked the travel of the strut as now the nose gear is permanently extended and unable to compress at all. Pretty disappointing for such an expensive upgrade to something so relatively minor.

simple rip and replace install for the stock landing gear. Just take care of the grub screws as they are very well glued from the factory, stripped 2 of them. Once installed works great and is a must have when flying from grassfields
