“What a nice SCALE ship!!!...Everything went together without a hitch!! I sprayed a couple of coats of polycrylic Minwax clear gloss on her and the color turned to a deep, dark navy with a nice shine...just like the one at the Chino Planes of Fame museum!!...I also painted the gear struts and wheels a bright silver!!.....A worthy rendition for sure!!!!”
“The kit arrived from the USA on time and as described. Build quality generally good with plenty of detail and suitable decals to choose from. Build time was excellent I managed to put the plane together in 90minutes. The one thing that I don't particularly like is the use of springs in the door retract system. Also I purchased the upgrade oleomlegscforvthe undercarriage Andy have found the nosevoleo needs a bit of modification to get the leg to sit correctly so that when gear goes up it shuts the gear doors after the wheel has passed the gear door opening. For the money paid this is something that should have been sorted before production release. Overall the plane went together really well and looks great. The YouTube build was very helpful and I am looking forward to its maiden flight. Regards Chris Traher (UK)”
“Got this on December 21 and put together by December 23, 2016 and flew on December 25, 2016. The reason it took so long to build is due to the fact I always clear coat with at least 2 to 4 coats of Polyclear from Minwax. Then I had to give it the weathering accents with an airbrush to make it look more to the scale side of the spectrum. Saying this I took the TLC approach. But, when I took it from the box it was just amazing. I have almost every Freewing product and I can say the Flight Line products are as good and maybe even a little bit better. It's almost unbelievable this thing is foam. Saying all of this my point is that it is one great airplane to assemble and the only issue I rand into was fastining the wings. This plane is huge and, although I am 6'2 it was all I could do to wrap my arms around the parts to push the wings into the sockets. The first wing was somewhat tight to say the least, the second (although I did attach the first wing so I could get leverage) it was a struggle. Trying not to dent the foam parts or place those ugly hanger rash marks onto the surfaces was a choir. The one item I found that was bad was the left flap that when placed in the downward angle from the body managed to be impared from full throw. I had to compensate by cutting off about a 1/4 from the inside of the flap. No big deal just could have been taken care of by QC.Now for the fun. Flying, the first maiden flight. I did some ground trials prior to the flight. Everything worked as it was suppose to and it had plenty of power and it was all I could do to keep it on the ground. The plane really wanted to fly in a 4 knot wind with a slide cross wind attack. So I came around for the take off gave it power and in about 60 feet she rose to the occasion with very little pressure on the stick. I got up tucked in the retracts about 200' away and came about 180 degrees. Thumbs off the sicks and she did a ever so slite left and a slight up angle. I gave it two clicks of left and 2 click down and that did it. The flight was a success. However, when I put the flaps down for landing she pitched up violently, so I just place them back and then gave it about 10 degrees of flaps until the speed had settled down to about 40 mph and then applied them again to about 1/2. The plane still picthed up but not as much as prior. I just let it settle in for the dog leg turn for approach, she really wanted to fly still at about 1/4 throttle so I backed off a little more on the throttle to aout 30 mph and she settled in. About 8 to 10' off the ground I gave the push on the stick to raise the nose and she touched down on the mains with a slight bounce and down on all three in about a 50' roll out to a stop. Almost as good as it gets. The second flight that day went the same and maybe just a bit better. The landing was much better without the jump (correction made) The plane flies at about 70 to 90mph and even did a knoife edge. My batteries ,3700mah both flights came in at 3.92 to 3.90 for a 3 1/2 minute flight. They were cool and not hot. I placed it into the car and returned home, as a happy camper. I did make a change at home to the flaps by mixing in the transmitter and now will go out and see if any adjustments will be needed from there. Bottom line this is now one of my favorite planes. I will centainly be purchasing more of these in the future. I want to do a few other color schemes.Sincerely, and happy flyingMako Smith”
“This is the finest ARF that I have had the pleasure to build. The quality of this ARF is second to none and I will definitely buy another ARF by Flightline.”
