6S 5000mAh moved in nose and 35g extra weight on firewall. Just only little trim EL up. On taxing she needs high rate on EL. If you will use flaps, mix them with EL according to manual.Great flying Spitfire, in the sky she looks very scale. Would be nice to get the kit without decals placed on. I prefer to paint all details, so removing of the decals was big pain! I did some mods on that Spitfire, finished by JP Warbirds accessories and nomenclature painted by JPW masks. This airplane is fantastic!!! I flew it for the first time yesterday and immediately fell in love! It has power to spare and it’s flight characteristics are nothing but the smoothest and most intuitive of any large electric warbird I have had the pleasure to pilot, it tracks like it is on invisible rails in the sky. Scale detail is spot on, it’s a pretty bird and looks amazing in flight! I would recommend to anyone with even a little experience with hot rod models.

Just like Marcus, I was surprised to find the crappy decals already applied. I to, have ordered from Callie to avoid dealing with the decals. My white recognition band, on the rear of the fuselage is defiantly not painted. You can see where they applied the decals with the tail installed, then cut the decal to separate. Worst than that, they aren't even aligned properly. Air gaps behind decals really look bad, see pics.Sad, because like FreeWing, these are great aircraft at a fair price.Spoke to customer service and he just recommended removing the decals. This on a foam plane that if you stare at to long at it, it will dent. He said they hadn't got around to updating the ad about applied decals, but would get right on it.

Who doesn't love a Spitfire? Mine arrived yesterday, and it's gorgeous and well-constructed. I hooked everything up through the blue box, which worked just fine- just be sure to pay attention to the correct polarity.I wish I would have known that the decals were already applied before ordering a set from Callie. There were not two choices of decals included as indicated in the Motion RC Overview. I'm not going to tear off the existing decals and risk damaging the paint, so I guess I'll just be the proud owner of a spare set of RAF insignia and Spitfire nomenclature decals. The ones that were already on there look fine.Further, a few reviews indicated the white recognition band in the rear of the fuselage was a sticker- mine was painted. No biggie, but wanted to point it out. Now I just need the weather to cooperate to maiden it. Can't wait- its a gorgeous airplane.

Bought my spit of a friend who had crashed it. Wings and tail was ok so purchased a new fuze and rebuilt it from that. First flight was fine, not a lot of trim needed, I always fly with max throws on all flight surfaces, it’s the way I fly all my planes. I fitted a sound box and mounted the speakers in the radiator boxes under the wings, sound pretty good with the selected Merlin sound. I fly it as scale as I can and regularly get 8 mins flying time, landings are quite easy for a spitfire but it’s noses over a few times crushing the top of the tail!! Landing gear comes loose but to be expected as our field is quite bumpy. Just bought a new set of wings as the originals are starting to look very secondhand. Lots of power from the motor, usually takes off on half throttle, one of my favourite planes to fly. I had the Blackhorse 1500mm spitfire and it was a hard plane to fly, the flightline is a dream in comparison. I’m hoping they are going to do a Mustang exactly the same, same power plant same size.

What a great plane to exhibit the beauty of a Spitfire! Very good overall fit and finish, when flown at a 1/2-3/4 throttle scale speed she really looks and maneuvers like the real thing. Turn up the rates and the speed and she can perform like a high performance sport aeroplane.

Grew up racing rc cars decades ago….and just got back into R/C now in my 40’s and decided to give planes a go. I’ve always loved the spitfire and I thought the Flight Line spit looked great while online researching, so I ordered it. A few days later it arrived and I was totally smitten. To me even little things can help make a purchase seem like money well spent, and I am very pleased with this purchase. First off the box art is super cool and when opening you notice right away the fit and finish is fantastic. The paintwork and detailing are very nice. The assembly is straightforward and you can tell the plane is a quality, well thought out airplane..Once assembled she is an absolute beauty. Being my first warbird I was hesitant to fly her at first as I am very inexperienced in rc planes. But I must say, as a beginner this airplane is confidence inspiring and feels very solid and precise in the air. I was a bundle of nerves on the maiden flight but within seconds of rolling on the power she was airborne and flying smooth and gentle if I wanted or flat out fast passes. The plane always felt solid but not heavy. And she is quick. Landing wasn’t as hard as I though it would be either. She glides in nicely with flaps but will take some practice for me to make it pretty every time. I’m sure experienced pilots could land this plane with ease. As a newbie I’m very pleased with the Spitfire. Well made and she flies great, looks gorgeous in the air and sitting still.
