“Absolutely awesome spitfire. Handles grass very well and performs great scale aerobatics. I fly with a spectrum smart 6s 5000 30c all the way forward with the stock CG of 90mm. Super locked in for me with this cg and I'm getting 10 minutes mixed throttle flying. Could definitely do 12 minutes as well however I usually leave that extra 2 minutes for reserve. Great job flightline!”

“I would normally give a review on here, however, since MRC doesn’t seem to like negative reviews (not all areas) some of my past review were not posted. So This one will be the same way. No review until MRC chooses to take the bad with the good.”

“I've been building and flying scale for 40 years. Wanted something quick and easy to get in the air, with good scale appearance. I'm very impressed with this foamie. The finish is great. Flies fantastic on a 6S 5000mah pack. Most of my flying is at half to 3/4 throttle. I'm easily getting 8 minute flights. Looks great in the air! Very stable and predictable. The flaps are very effective and it slows down nicely for landing. Very happy with this airplane.”

“This is my second one after I drilled the first one into some trees. (That torque on takeoff is no joke!) There are a lot of conflicting reviews on here for how to set the airplane up (likely due to differing flying styles) but here’s what worked for me: Ailerons-22mm, Elevator-16mm, Rudder 20mm. Expo 30% all around. CG must be at 90mm. You COULD get away with it a little further back, but the plane will “hobby horse” and oscillate in pitch with power changes. For me, a 90mm CG means a 6S 5000 all the way forward with 2 oz of weight added, and the elev trimmed up about 2mm at neutral.Taking off by banging the power on fast to the stops will guarantee a short flight, and probably another Spitfire order if there are trees at tour club. (There are trees at my club.) Hold the elevator up one notch (there should be detent marks on your transmitter), and advance power slowly to about half, correcting with right rudder as you accelerate slowly. Once the tail is up, feed in more power if you need and ease back. Landings: Easy, just have a slow, consistent sink rate near the ground and crack the power a little so you don’t bounce. Don’t land like a rocket either. She floats with flaps. Speaking of…Flap setup by the book. Here’s how it looks on a Spektrum TX in “flap system”:POS 0: Flap: -100%, Elev: 0%POS 1: Flap: -30%, Elev: -12%POS 2: Flap: 0%, Elev: -20%Anyways, that’s about all I got. Oh, except for the blue box. Trust it or don’t, your choice. I’ve never had one fail, but I opted to ditch the lights and run Y-cables direct to rx. Happy flying everybody!”

“Assembly very easy flies well looks great. However I did not like the water transfer decals as they were very brittle and difficult to work with. Also the peel and stick decals very difficult to work with. It would be nice if the model came with all of the decals in place I would pay extra for that.Otherwise the plane is beautiful flies well very happy good power at 8000 feet where I live.”

“I read all the reviews as I assembled it, some of the reviews said that the elevator servo was a hybrid metal and plastic gears. This is not correct, at least for the Spitfire I received in September of 2022, I opened the servo up and visually confirmed myself all the gears inside the servo are metal. This is consistent with the details on the motion rc page about the model. Also, the blue box. I did not experience the twitchy servos some reported, but I did find a couple things. The left and right side connectors that you plug the servos into are reversed so on one side the signal wire is the first pin, and on the other side of the blue box connectors, the signal pin is on the last pin, keep this in mind. Also the labels for the lights are wrong(in the installation instructions, and no details on the blue box itself), with the blue box oriented with the 3 leads that go to the receiver at the top, the bottom left two “light” connectors are for the left and right wingtip lights. The bottom right “light” connector is INOP (inoperative). The bottom right “light” connector that is 2nd from the bottom is what you need to plug the dorsal strobe LED into, whatever led is plugged into this port will flash.AND the last important thing is that I hooked up the landing gear through the blue box and when i flip the gear switch on my transmitter there is a an odd delay of nothing happening for like 3 seconds, and then all of a sudden the landing gear responds. This happens for both extending and retracting the gear. Looking closer at the box, I realized what is happening, the blue box has some electronics in it that take the landing gear signal and first sends it out to the G-D ports meant for separate servos to open the gear doors first in sequence, and after that sequence it sends the signal to the ports that you plug the retracts servo into. This model has no such separate gear door with servos, so it makes no sense why they would include this box and behavior with this model. All this might explain the experience people are having. Nowhere online or in the setup instructions does it explain any of this. Also, pay attention to the flaps, the servos are located at DIFFERENT distances from the flaps on the left and ridge side! They are 5 mm different, so you will need to adjust the flaps pushrods lengths to account for that otherwise you will get uneven flap deployment! All this being said, it is a beautiful model for the money, I look forward to flying it, hopefully someone finds this information helpful, I know I've found a lot of helpful info in the other reviews like about the CG.”
