“Greetings all--I rendered my FlightLine Corsair in the 1943 three color scheme, as a plane flown by the famous VMF-214, Boyington's Black Sheep squadron. I fly it on an SMC 6S 6200 mah LiHV battery; it balances with the battery about .75" back from the firewall, and has awesome performance for over 10 minutes flight time. I love how it flies! (Note, the birdcage Corsair was F4U-1, not 1A which was bubble with a fore/aft structural piece on each side.) Wish I could post a pic of it, came out great.”

“The plane is beautiful, has uncritical behavior but the retract is a real misery and need to be redesigned.Almost all complains about this plane are related to the landing gear. Flightline should take care on that!Even with smooth landing on grass one of the landing gear broke. The weak part is a design error and concerns the shaft between gearbox and gear arm. The 5,5mm shaft is crossed by a 3mm rotating pin which leave only between 0 and 0,7mm max each side of the rotating pin. That’s far to little, and the minimal repetitive chocks will crack this shaft. It would be very much appreciate from Flightline to redesign this retract and offer it for a decent price as it could be considered as a warranty issue.A pity as it would require minimal input from flightline to make this plane perfect. A 1,5mm rotating pin instead of 3mm or a thicker shaft would solve the problem.”

“This is the first foam model I’ve had that’s not an Edf . It flys great and easy to assemble. I only gave it 4 stars as the foam is very very very soft much more than the freewing Edf models .”

“I have wanted a corsair that was not an f4u-4 and this is the only one I could find of any quality, although I was not in love with the size and cost. Then I found out that the wings come off with 4 screws and 2 plugs that makes it much easier to transport. So I got one and its a very nice flying ,good looking plane.I repainted as "883"and I enjoy flying it.Like other flightline planes, it has "scale" performance,Plenty of power, handles well, easy to land{for a plane its weight}Thanks for leaving all the markings off,Thanks Callie!”
