“I received the new Shrike very quickly and was anxious to get it assembled and test flown. I was puzzled that there was no printed manual included, but after a search on the web site I found a digital verison. I was a bit surprised at the very basic nature of it. I'm an experienced modeler, so I didn't really have any trouble putting the plane together, but a novice might have some difficulty if their model had the same issue I found in mine. All of the servo leads except the flaps were labeled incorrectly and the elevator was actually plugged into the Y connector in place of the right aileron. After getting the servos plugged in correctly, everything worked as it should. Aileron and flap pushrods were adjusted mechanically rather than using sub trim as recommended. I was a bit concerned about being able to get the nose of the spinner tight enough since there is no way to really grasp it securely enough and there is no provision for the back of the spinner to securely engage the rear of the prop shaft to prevent slippage. As with other reviewers, my prop and spinner came loose and was lost on the maiden flight. I ordered a replacement spinner and prop from Motion, but there were no metal pins to fix the blades to the hub and the hub included with the spinner was cracked and unusable. There was no photo of the prop, but he description said prop with mount so I thought I was covered and that the damaged hub would be an extra. I did find it curious that a hub was included with the spinner but no pins or retaining clips. I contacted tech support about the issue, but have not received the parts they said they would send. Bottom line, a nice basic model that flew well, though briefly, but there are some QC issues with the introduction of this new model that really should have been detected prior to release.”

“Very well done,easy to assemble (without any enclosed instructions !). Only complaint is receiver is stuffed behind battery with little access to antenna leads. Put flaps on 3 way switch to get spoilers in up position, neutral in middle ,and flaps in down position. Very stowable ,so will always have with you when the time is right. mjm”

“The title says it all. This plane is AWESOME! It goes together quickly and easily. But that's where it ends. In flight, it EXCELS. It took 4 go arrounds to land. The plane refused to come down. I finally got the aroach right and landed at my feet so I wouldn't wLk to retrieve it. It's well worth the low price. BUY ONE er. TWO.☺️”
