“Maidened this bird yesterday and it is a great flyer. If you buy one be aware that:The horizontal stab is a friction fit, no fasteners. I cut 2 pieces of clear packing tape and used that to better secure the stab to the fuse.It takes a 2200 3s battery to balance correctly. To install that battery I had to put the receiver on the back side of the supplied mounting tray with velcro to secure it in place. Access to the back of the tray requires removing the bottom servo access hatch. Otherwise there is no room to install the correct battery.The AR637T receiver I had on hand works well after I unlocked and reprogrammed. That was my first time for that and it took hours. The issue was that this model required reversing the elevator servo and the receiver's AS3X and SAFE gyro was not programmed for that.The site claims assembly is quick. Unlike other foam models in my collection this one required installing the control rods. That added a few minutes to the process.The site states that 2 screws are required for assembly. It comes with the 2 screws but the instructions say nothing about where these go. It flies fine without them.Launch is incredibly easy. It flies well ant low airspeed.Can't wait to sit back and fly in some thermals!”

“The Shrike is a pretty good glider. I absolutely love how the wings just plug in with no need to thread wires down the fuselage. I also like the locking mechanism for the canopy. The major problems, as stated in other reviews, are the spinner and prop assembly spinning off in flight and the horizontal stabilizer not being secure. The only solution for the prop assembly spinning off is to put lictite on the threads, which still doesn't guarantee it will stay on, or just permanently glue it in place. I choose the 3rd option ordered a aluminum turbo prop assembly from a different website. That did the trick.”

“Great plane except for the nose cone. On the build the nose cone won’t tighten up by hand. The screws holding the motor came out and I can’t get the nose cone off too tighten the the screws now Monday I haft too our a new nose cone.Not happy!!!”

“easy setup and a great flyer. Came in with a broken clevis in which Motion RC took care very quickly. I use this model as a trainer for those who are learning to fly gliders. It is perfect trainer and easy for me to transition to a sport flyer!”

“Not for the PnP version. It takes about 20 minutes to install the clevis set. Then there is the radio. I put in a AR627TA with Safe and AS3X. After several attempts it's in the back of the tray next the tail feathers to get room to get a 2200 3S battery to fit. IT's a tight fit to get it back there. Provided instructions are not very complete. Next up is unlocking the receiver and programming it for the reversed elevator servo. That's another learning experience but as it sits Safe and AS3X are moving the elevator the wrong way.”
