I really enjoyed flying this plane. I smashed up the first one and bought a second one right away. This plane goes with me to the field every time I fly. The only problem I had was with the clevis on the elevator. I replaced it with a longer one and it gave me more length on the rod and everything works perfect now.

Remove the elevator servo, flip it around and re-glue. This will fix the short pushrod issue. Re-position the flap servo arms to get more travel on the flaps. Great looking plane!

I flew this glider with my grandson on the buddy cord yesterday and we love it. The wind was in the 8 - 12 mph range and the Shrike handled it without a problem. Assembly was fast and easy. This is definitely fun to fly and a wonderful trainer plane!

This is perfect glider for a beginner pilot to graduate to after learning the basics..It has speed and agility. I really appreciate the flaps. It is my first experience with flaps. They really make for soft landings. need to add a little down elevator when deployed. I highly recommend this glider.

I was looking forward to the arrival Skynetic Shrike. From my research it seemed it would be the perfect plane to advance my slope soaring experience.I think overall the plane is a good value. However, it's the little QC details and the fact that the elevator pushrod clevis broke at the field before I could maiden the Shrike that causes me to give it only 3 stars. If Motion RC reads this review and tries to correct my clevis issue I will return and modify this review.First thing I noticed was that the servo lead labeled Aileron acutally operated the Right Aileron and Left Flap. The servo lead labeled Flaps operated the Right Flap and Left Aileron. I find the enclosed pushrod for the Elevator to be a royal pain. My goal was to use the shipping box to keep the plane safe during transport to-and-from the field. The enclosed pushrod makes this goal a very fussy operation. The clevis on the Elevator pushrod is very brittle and acutally broke under very gentle pressure. It broke as I was assembling the plane for it's maiden flight just 40 minutes ago. Now I'm looking for replacement parts and no air time on the plane!!! Adding an extra clevis or three in the parts bag would be a nice thing to do.The spinner design is poor. Skynetic (Motion RC) is relying solely on the compression fit spinner cap to keep the prop attached to the plane. Even a simple modification of using left-hand threads would be a marked improvment to the well documented spinner lost on throttle-off issue the out-of-the-box spinner has.

The elevator servo failed at about 10 flights resulting in a total airframe loss. I did salvage my AR637T. Motion RC would not help out at all due warranty expiring based on time since purchase. It did fly great but I'm going to look for a different sailplane. I do not trust the quality of this product.
