“The UGears locomotive was a nice break from regular model building, it was easy to assemble and unique use of gears to make it work but for some reason the six rubber bands don’t seem to be powering it, the power gear seams to stick even though I waxed it well, that’s why I gave it four stars. I should of gave it a five because it was going to be a static model anyways. I enjoyed building it.”
“This kit is terrific. The people at UGears really think through their kits before releasing them. High quality wood, laser cut parts that pop out of the sheets easily, clearly numbered steps and parts and detailed instructions. And the amazing thing, absolutely no glue needed. Yet the kit is solid and totally functional when complete. You do have to pay attention to the directions to ensure that all the moving parts are in the correct spot. But if you do, as we did, then you have a model that not only looks great but also works great. It's fun just watching all the gears moving as the train moves along. Highly recommended if you have done at least one other kit previously. I wouldn't recommend this kit as your very first if you've never experienced this type of thing before. Again, simply because all the wheels/gears have to be built and positioned properly. But if you have a little experience here or are good at this type of activity, then definitely go for it. But wow, fun to build, use and look at.”
