It has a great feel when chopping and rocking with a knife. The board feels solid. It does stain and discolor more than I expected, but that doesn't affect performance.

The FRK wood core soft rubber helps keep knives from dulling as quickly as my other cutting board and I really enjoy being able to throw it in the dish washer. Great purchase and the staff at MTC were so helpful.

If you have expensive knives that you have carefully sharpened, why would you dull them on a hard cutting board? Hasegawa cutting boards are the answer to this question. Easy on your knives, easy to clean.

I like the size, weight, and soft rubber material. It does slide around a bit when I am chopping on it, but that was easily remedied by placing a piece of rubber shelf liner under the board.

Beautiful board, easy to clean and very gentle in the knives. Doesn’t slip around and perfect for cutting fish for sushi and sashimi.

I love the ease of maintenance for this board versus the constant maintenance needed for my other wood boards. No more need for waxing every week, just a quick rinse with hot water and mild dish soap, dry with a microfiber towel and store when not in use. I also like the lightweight, would probably prefer it to be slightly heavier, as it moves a little when skinning salmon, but an easy remedy is to use a damp towel between the board and the countertop.

Not too big, not too small, fits in the dishwasher, and is gentle on my high-end knives. Love it.

Wish they made a 18”x24” board
