Hi Robert, thanks for your review and military service. The Vietnam era tags you ordered use the DEBOSS (indented) font type which was used during that era, so the tags you received would be almost identical to originals. One way to make them easier to read is to darken the letters using black shoe polish as shown in this video: https://www.mydogtag.com/blog/debossed-darkened-letter-dog-tags Alternatively, we recommend ordering the modern EMBOSSED (raised) font which is much easier to read but would then not be a precise replica of a Vietnam era tag.
