I do recommend Mydogtag.com for getting 'replacement' tags. They handled my order quickly and right to the letter of my request. I gave a 4 star because the stainless tags were very thin and not like the originals from my era.

Hi Tom, thank you for your review and feedback. Our tags are what is currently issued by the US military and they are thinner than tags issued before the late 90s. Current regulations call for tags 0.014" thick, in 1967 the regulations were for 0.016" thick, and going back to WW2 they were 0.025" thick. On top of that regulations allow for +/- tolerances and different manufacturers could output tags that varied from each other. On top of that bases would continue to issue whatever tags they had in stock even when the regulations had changed. We are trying to source thicker tag stock however all the manufacturers make to current regulations so it is not a standard item. Thank you for your military service.

Dog tags are close to what was issued I truly wish you could duplicate using Monel which was the make up of the dog tags issued to me in Feb 1966 - I would gladly pay an up charge as I’m sure many would also in the same thickness issued that year - thank you

I ordered a "Dog Tag" to replace the one I lost from "My Dog Tag". It didn't come out the way I wanted it, they promptly made the correction and mailed me the replacement at no charge. Should I need an extra Dog Tag, I definitely will order it with this company. "VERY PROFESSIONAL AND CUSTOMER ORIENTED".
