I love the look and fit! I have purchased a few other Olukai shoes/sandals in the past. All of which been so comfortable and durable. Olukai have been my favorite shoe for a long time now, however with the Upena, I noticed that my feet begin to ache early on into the day, than with other shoes. Support & comfort lessens as the day goes with these shoes. This is unfortunate because as the shoes are very cute!

I wore these all day long up and down hills for a week in Old Quebec City. At the end of the day, after 15,000 steps, I was the only one who didn't have sore feet or legs. I could have kept going while my teenage daughters, who are runners, complained of sore feet. I also have plantar fasciitis and wear these to avoid a flare up or to heal one that I get from wearing other shoes.

I’d been looking for a comfortable, versatile, and attractive pair of shoes that could support my feet in need. I loved the look of the shoe, and the rave reviews convinced me. They didn’t need breaking in at all. I started wearing them and toured many archeological sites in Turkey. In the searing heat. No blisters, great support on slippery rocks. I literally wore them all day, and they looked great with a dress in the evening. It was the only pair of shoes I wore for the entire trip. My feet are happy, and so am I!! Thanks Olu Kai!

I've always had trouble finding a shoe that didn't add to my knee and lower back pain...My feet are pretty much flat. I bought these shoes and wore them the entire school year. (I'm a teacher). I took them with me on vacation over the summer thinking that at the end of the summer I would reorder a new pair for the new school year. For five weeks I wore these shoes all over Senegal (west Africa) in dirt/mud roads. Then I wore them to (mildly) hike up and down the coast of Portugal. All of this while recovering from a sprained ankle. They were the only shoes I packed for six weeks and I never once had foot/knee/ankle/back pain, and I did A LOT of walking. The best part is, they are still in GREAT shape, and I don't need to buy a new pair for the upcoming school year. Thank you, thank you Olukai!!
