“The 5V3A charger works fine, but even with a full charge the battery charge is pretty much depleted after 4 hours on high. This is not a problem most of the time. But if you plan on spending a full day in frigid weather, you will need an extra fully charged battery. Also, the charger should be supplied with the product (vest in my case) not as an additional purchase. Not the best way to do business when you leave a nessessary item out of the package.”
Hi Lynn, thanks for sharing your detailed feedback. Battery runtime can vary depending on factors such as heat setting, environment, and usage conditions, and higher settings will naturally use more power. For extended time outdoors in very cold weather, having a spare fully charged battery can certainly be helpful.
Regarding the charger, charging adapters aren’t included to help reduce environmental impact, and you can use your existing compatible wall plug to charge the battery. We appreciate your understanding and thank you for taking the time to share your experience.
“I received a ororo vest as a gift. It came with a cable and no charger. It seemed that I could charge it with the cable and any charger plugged into the wall but that wasn't exactly true. I never really found information easily that stated how best to charge the vest. I deduced I needed to buy a ororo charger and so I did which seemed to fix the issue with charging. Even after communication with the company they were suggesting to send a new battery. Never did address my issue. It is unclear to me why all is not included with the vest. I would like to have the time back I spent on this issue.”
