“I did a LOT of research before purchasing the ORORO Women's Heated Padded Vest. It was a lot of money and I wanted to make sure I was getting the best vest for my needs. One of the huge selling points for this vest is that the collar is heated. My neck is always cold, and this was an important feature for me. I wasn't sure about the front panels being lower on the body than other vests - UNTIL I wore the vest for the first time and realized that the heating panels cover the area behind the pockets, so you just have to put your cold hands in your pockets to warm them up. Another must-have is the multiple heat settings - pre-heat, high, medium, and low. I took my measurements, and although I was a little bigger than the size Large I went with it because I wanted the vest to fit more snug than loose. The fit is perfect. The snug fit ensures the heating panels are in contact with your body (I can still wear a non-bulky top underneath) which maximizes the amount of heat to your body.
My first opportunity to put the vest to use was in our community's annual Christmas in the Park parade - the weather was in the low 40's and was foggy/damp. Wow, what a lifesaver! And the vest itself is not bulky, so I wore a cute Christmas sweater over the top and was toasty warm. Once I warmed myself up, I switched to the Low setting (and even had to turn it off at times as I was TOO warm). The battery, while not light in weight, is well-positioned and did not interfere with anything I did.
I love my vest SO much that I ordered ORORO vests for my husband and my brother for Christmas. Both of them are cold all of the time (unless they're working), so these vests should be well-received and I'll be the Christmas present hero.
I also ordered two pairs of the Twin-Cities heated gloves (for my husband and myself). He has circulation problems and these will help. I'll post a separate review for the gloves, but let me drop a hint as to why I chose the ORORO heated gloves...3-in-1 (the liners are heated and can be worn alone or with the outer gloves, and the outer gloves can be worn alone).

Wishing The size of the battery and or the placement of the battery was different.
-smaller battery
-the placement of the battery landing on the hip makes for too bulky in a bad area.
-if the battery was small and or placed more on the backside or frontside of the torso .”
