“Had the V2 out this weekend. Listened to the feedback on the v1 and a much better tent for it. Cooked in the vestibule and didn't suffer with condensation with the top vents open and the door opened up from the top.
Had a major downpour yesterday and not a drop got in.
Feels less than the stated weight.
Overall can't wait to get it out on the hills in the depth of winter.”
“This is a great tent. I was looking for a lightweight tent for a multi-day trip and this one is perfect. Amazed at the price, I would have thought it would have been a lot dearer.”
Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts on the Nomad V2! We're glad to hear the mods are working well for you. Great feedback on the inner door it's something we'll definitely keep in mind as we continue to refine the design. Appreciate your support!
“Spent the first night out on a wild camp following the Leave no trace code as always . The tent certainly exceeded my expectations in the blustery conditions we encountered on this trip .There's ample space inside for those long dark nights in winter. I particularly like the gear storage / tool store between the inner and fly. Genuis. No losing anything in the grass. Only thing a would change is thicker shorter bungees on the fly edge panels. The current ones are too long and thin and stretch too far. I'll be changing mine which is easy enough to do. Looking forward to testing it in the snow . Over all Im very happy with my purchase and have recommended it to several friends .”
Thanks for the great feedback and for taking the Nomad out on a proper wild camp. We're really glad it held up well in the wind and that the space and gear storage worked for you. Appreciate the note on the fly edge bungees too, we’ll keep that in mind for future updates. Thanks again for your support and for recommending it to others!
“Received the V2 version yesterday and just pitched in the garden. Very impressed so far, straightforward to pitch (in calm weather at least), lots of useful features, especially the adjustable peg points, double zippers, bungee hook to retain the main door, plenty of storage pockets, lantern hook, vestibule storage tub, and it is plenty roomy inside, at least for me at 170cm. One small issue I identified is that when the guys are unravelled a knot is left in the line, which needs to be moved or it could get in the way when pitching, especially at night or with cold fingers. Maybe it is supposed to be there but I haven't seen this before. Not an issue particular as long as you move the knot, otherwise, quality appears generally excellent, the money has been spent in the right places. Especially for the price, this is an excellent tent, the customer service was also responsive and confidence inspiring. I also own a Vango Pro Banshee, Vango Helium UL2 and a Hilleberg Akto, all of which have specific limitations in my view that this X-Lite Nomad Solo may have just smoothed over these wrinkles enough to produce the ideal, all purpose tent, as claimed. My only concern is how easy it would be to pitch in wind, will report back. I might even do a quick YouTube video on this tent, comparing it to the others.”
“This V2 of this tent is amazing. Fantastic tent . Very very impressive tent . Will not have a problem standing up to the British weather. If you think twice about this tent . Just go for it then up grades has made this tent a game changer”
“A cracking tent had it out in some horrendous weather it held up with no problems. All this tent for a couple of hundred pound. The only thing is the outer fly has only a single zip could do with a double zip. But well worth it.”
“Bought this little beauty a few weeks ago and took it to the Lakes for a first trip. Ridiculously easy to pitch in not the easiest of conditions and it felt bombproof (had 30mph gusts). Looks great and is obviously really well made with top quality fabrics and stitching. The poles are sturdy and clearly up to the job.
Once pitched, there was plenty of room inside and also in the vestibule. The addition of the gear box is little short of genius. About the only negative I could come up with is the outer zip could do with being a double rather than single. I didn’t find any issues with condensation.
It compares very favourably with other one person options out there and for the price point it represents excellent value. I also have a Southern Cross and to my mind, this is superior. Had a number of people coming over for a closer look. Very highly recommended.”
