Otimos X-Lite Nomad Solo 4-Season Backpacking Tent 1 Person Reviews

4.8 Rating 34 Reviews
I took this tent up to the lake District for a few days and nights wild camping. It is a nice tent and easy to pitch. The trouble for me is that I am 6"2 tall and both my head and feet were touching the inner mesh which inevitably led to the foot box of my sleeping bag becoming wet from the condensation. I also found that when you open the door and clip it back it gives zero protection from the rain which made its way in onto my sleeping bag which was quite frustrating, I am thinking of rigging up a small tarp over the entrance which defeats the object of having a tent. Overall I do like the design and how easy it is to pitch and a few people commented on how nice it looks. I think this tent has a lot of potential with a few tweaks. Maybe make the inner part a little longer for taller people and enlarge the vestibule a little for some rain protection.

I took it to the Lakes for a test. It was a beautiful day so couldn't test how it stands up to the winds. Love the colour, the big porch area, the cloth line and semi-geadesic style. However it would be nice to have a double zip on the outer shelf as well as puttle poke insert sleeves in the corners for easier set up.

First time out at the weekend and found this tent excellent. Good quality, lightweight, compact. Ticked all the boxes and loved the little gear storage and washing line as added bonuses!

Nice quick delivery of the Otimos x lite nomad solo from OOG,I've not tested it in the mountains yet,so will repost with up date performance review asap. Great communication and friendly The nomad solo looks real high quality, stitching, material and design are all excellent, structure looks strong and very has a intuitive set up. If it holds up well regarding durability, then this could be a game changer when you consider the cost of the Otimos nomad.

The Otimos X-Lite Nomad Solo 4-Season Tent impresses with its generous space for a one-person setup, making it ideal for extended trips. Its quirky vestibule storage is a standout feature, providing extra utility. The build quality feels robust, with durable materials and well-sealed seams. At around 1.8kg, the weight is reasonable for a 4-season tent. Suggested improvements include a double zip for the vestibule, tension straps on peg-out points like the MSR Hubba NX, shock cords to other peg out points for better wind resistance, and a more thoughtful internal pocket layout—perhaps one or two larger pockets. Overall, it's a dependable and well-designed solo shelter, I am happy with my purchase so far, although I haven't tested it in inclement weather conditions yet. The service from Otimos was second to none and at a reasonable price for a 4 season tent.

I wanted a summer mountain tent I this seems to fit the bill .I really like the set up and drop down and materials internal space , colour , materials of fly, ground sheet ,inner and foot print .Great design . Now for the improvements . The guylines are stretchy The inner to outer gap at the head end is insufficient (needs a pegging Point on fly ) Opening the door drops water into the inner tent not enough projection at the foot end .and the stuff sack could do with being a bit bigger to get everything inside .and I had a guyline missing . But overall the tent is really impressive especially for the money .
