“This air cleaner is very quiet. I barely even notice that it is running. I just cleaned the air filters the other day and it was very easy. It was also nice to know I don't have to buy filters for it. It also gives me peace of mind that it kills small germs . It seems to be doing a great job.”
“I found this unit to be loud enough that I had to move it from the room where I wanted it to live. It was distracting to watch TV, listen to music or read while the purifier was running. This is pretty disappointing given the cost. I measured the decibel level at 40-45dB on low fan speeds. That's somewhere between soft and moderate levels according to the American Academy of Audiology. I was hoping for something in the 20-25 dB range.
I've cleaned the plates twice. They do capture a lot of visible dust and I trust it's capturing the unseen particles and viruses as well. The auto feature seems to work well too. The unit detected kitchen odors, the light turned red and the fan increased to high. After about ten minutes it returned to green and the fan went back to a low speed.”
