“I love being able to sanitize my phone and watch when getting home after work. My kids are always playing with my phone and it makes me feel more comfortable with them using it.
I ordered a certain color originally, which due to a glitch they accidentally oversold. Their customer service was amazing and contacted me to correct the problem and did so quickly!”
“I had some Christmas gift return money to burn and thought a phone sanitizer would be a good idea for part of it. Plus, I like to support clever Shark Tank products when I see them. This unit came a day earlier than expected after ordering it directly from the PhoneSoap website (Amazon was out of stock for some reason). That was a nice surprise. I also did a quick internet search before purchasing to find a 10% off code to enter at checkout. Another pleasant surprise.
I don't have microbiology equipment at home to verify that the device works, but a blue lightning bolt on the outside of the case illuminates when the device is closed to suggest it is operating properly. Obviously you can't tell it's working otherwise because UV light is invisible and you really shouldn't be exposing your eyes to it anyway.
I chose the black color sku of this product and it looks as though there were some minor defects in the paint/coating on the exterior. A spot or two on the exterior have the look as if they've been in contact with a chemical solvent that partly dissolved the coating (if you've seen what happens to a calculator cover when exposed to acetone, you will know what I mean). Even after I wiped the unit down, the spots remained. It wasn't troubling enough for me to attempt a return.
The newer wireless option might be superior from a cord management perspective (there are 2 cords that stick out of my PhoneSoap 3--one from the electrical outlet to the back of unit and another from the back of unit that threads into the case and into the cell phone charging port). The unit doesn't fit as well if your charging cable plugs into the long edge/side of your device rather than the short edge/bottom and this would be another point in favor of wireless. Overall the device was very easy to setup and I don't recall reading any instructions (or recall having any need for them).
It is nice to be able to sanitize other small items also. I have put my credit/debit cards through there as well as my work ID. I noticed that if you want to put keys in there, it might be better to take them off the key chain first because the key chain can be wide/tall enough to give the PhoneSoap 3 problems staying closed.
All in all, this is a good product and I'm glad I purchased it. In the long run, in terms of reduced germs and illnesses this should be well worth the $45 or so I paid for it.”
“I happened upon this product and was delighted about the idea. My wife is a bit of a germaphobe and when I saw this I knew it was the perfect Christmas gift. To say she was excited was an understatement. What a great idea. Kudos to the inventor of such a relevant product. Thanks Phonesoap!”
