It worked great with no issues the first 2 1/2 years. I’ve had just about 3 years and it started clicking. It sounded like broken glass and of course now it doesn’t work at all. Bummer! Aren’t the supposed to last longer than that? It’s just my son and I not a super big family with lots of use.

I bought this as a replacement for an older model. It was easy to install and fit perfectly. It is really quiet, a very low hum. My only issue with the disposal was that once in place, each time I ran my dishwasher water was gushing from the overflow valve. After tearing apart the drains, snaking the pipes and running all the lines and verifying that there was no clog, went back to the disposal. Discovered that the drain valve pipe was sealed. So had to remove the disposal to get into the pipe to remove the piece of plastic that was blocking the valve. Now it works perfectly. No more water gushing from the overflow valve.

Installation was about as easy as it gets. My husband and I did it in under 2 hours. It took almost half that time to remove the power cord; we didn't need it because ours was hard wired. We pretty much had to destroy it to get it off. Anyway, I YouTubed an installation video from InSinkErator and it couldn't have been more precise and simple. If you are replacing the same brand, it literally snaps on. The baffle is included so no need for a new one. Wow, my old one must have been falling apart for awhile because this one is so much more quiet and eliminated the vibration. For the price, would highly recommend.
