A simple diagram would have helped with the measurements. The backup pump should have a threaded union for easier disassembly.

Check valve is low quality. Otherwise provides great peace of mind to a paranoid home owner after experiencing a flood

I have been using this battery backup system for years! It is well worth the money spent. It is reliable and operates as described.

Bought this as a replacement for my 1997 Zoeller backup pump and was pleasantly surprised at what I received. The picture is wrong ... The charger is not the old beast but a much smaller unit with a front panel display and ablility to connect to hardware that enables texting you if you have a sump problem. Additionally the assembly for the actual pump was much easier to install than the older unit ... All in all, a great upgrade with Zoeller's excellent dependability. When your dealing with a sump pump ... Don't fool around, get a Zoeller

Got it today. Just installed. So far its pretty great. Instructions were good enough. What I didnt know i figured out. I know its set up right and i know it works, but I have yet to have that one big test....massive Rainfall and power outage or primary pump failure. I bought this pump and a high quality marine battery so it ran me around $550 in addition to my Zoeller primary pump that is 3 years old. I had a pump fail a few years ago due to A sticky float switch and it cost me thousands to un **** my finished, carpeted basement. If you have finished basement space, you absolutely have to have a trustworthy backup system like this. Zoeller is widely respected and trusted. Ask any plumber. I highly recommend. If I had one complaint I wish it was a more compact design because by the time you get it parked right on top of a primary pump you are really close to the drain tile inlets for the sump bucket. The range of motion for the on/off switch on this pump is very short and the shut off point is well within the bucket inlet zone. I have a feeling that by the time it kicks in its gonna run continually and I kind of worry about it's ability to keep up in really heavy rain situations.

Great product keeps my sump pump going when the power is out. Just make sure to check battery with a load on it. Just because the pump turns on doesn't mean it has the juice to pump the water.
