“I've had to buy these for the last couple years but every time we buy them the price goes up 10 more dollars, I understand inflation and prices are going up but seriously every single time I buy them it costs even more and because of it I may be switching to a new brand and housing before I run out again. u can buy a different setup that costs way less plus ive never been a fan of how dust can get around these unlike the cheaper filter setups anyways. These are good filters and work but seriously the dirt can get around them on top and bottom and it's not hard to change out the housing anyways for a different more affordable one. Also to make it worst u cant even buy these local like other model filter housings, I'm forced to order them every time I need em and now with all the smoke in the air I need them asap and can't get them as usual all because they don't allow other brands to produce them. I'll seriously be swapping mine out by next year if not sooner because I hate running out and forgetting to order more”

“I was hoping this would last me 12 months but that turned out to be optimistic. By month 5, I could hear a humming sound in my walls, the most annoying being the wall next to the head of the bed. Took me a while to figure out it was my brand-new HVAC system vibrating. The cause? A dirty AprilAire filter making the system work hard to push air through it. I took the filter out, looking fuzzy and grey, and replaced it with a brand new one and the hum went away.My HVAC maintenance guy just replaced my filter that was just under 4 months old because he said it looked like it needed a change. After a year, I think I now know I need to change this filter about every 4 months (3 times a year). Not quite the cost savings I was hoping for but it's doing its job. Small house, 3 people, 2 pets=dust and hair.I recommend this filter but don't expect it to give you 12 months, or even 6. And I vacuum often and run a portable air filter inside the house.”
