1-1/2" P-Trap with Threaded PVC Adapter and Reversible J-Bend Reviews

4.8 Rating 87 Reviews
We began a kitchen remodel. We had old cabinets out and new floor installed. Began to put new kitchen in and got to the sink. We found that the pipe was too high for us to attach our sink as sinks now are deeper. We thought we were going to have to either get a different sink (which would have been bad as our granite was ordered with this sink measurement) or replace pipes throughout our lower floor which is totally finished. We researched and researched and found someone who said to use a reversible J bend for this issue. We bought this and used it. WE WERE SO HAPPY! It worked and is still working great. Drains very well. I can't tell you how much this helped.

Best tubular trap on the market.

I installed a new much deeper sink. The standard trap from the big box store would not seal because the drain pipe from the wall was only an inch or two lower than the bottom of the sink basket. Using this reversible trap I was able to fit in a drain tube with dishwasher line attachment while still having everything seal up. 6 months in and no leaks.

Fits better than parts from previous major hardware store. Difference in leaking and not leaking.

Did not know this existed as they are not carried in HD or Lowes. Even plumbing shops didn't carry them. I installed a 10" deep single basin sink with a garbage disposal so I now had a about a 3" Gap to fill. The key to this P-Trap is that the short side has a little less than 1/2" of slip pipe fitting. Normal P-Traps are setup to receive a beveled arm from the main drain. So this one gives you JUST enough sleeve to make a water tight seal. What I was able to do is cut a piece of extension to size and connect it to the short side (the correct orientation) from the main drain and just slipped the other side over garbage disposal outlet. The price is a bit steep especially for me, since I only used the P-Trap. But this is about the only solution out there.

I am replacing a P trap in an older house. This P-trap features blue rubber washers, wedge shaped, but the "super nuts" have holes that are too large to retain the blue washers. When you tighten the super nuts, the blue washers pop partly out and prevent a flange to flange seal. There are no included flat washers to help hold the blue washers in place. The larger washer for the vertical drain pipe works better than the other side. I made this work by eliminating the blue washer on the far side of the vertical drain pipe.

Saved us a ton of mone! After our new sink and countertops were installed we realized the discharge pipe was at the same height as the bottom of the sink. So glad we found this
