“Replaced the original contraption and it works fine. Removing the old one may require some prying. Overflow tube is close to the float—might cause issues in the future. Instructions are vague. Product worked for a Champion 4 one-piece that had “2004 Champion 70” etched in ceramic.”
“Worked great. Easy to install. No need to take the tank off or find screws. I only used the top of the flapper, the flange, the rod, and the bottom section. I think the bottom section is mostly for weight.”
“So, All I needed was the seal, but you can't buy just the seal... NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use the drop in chlorine tablets in your toilet tank... After getting rid of the chlorine tab remnants and replacing the seal, all is quiet. So, buy OEM and NEVER use chlorine tabs if you have the flexible silicon seal.”
“Our 1 yr old American Standard running water 24/7. We determined that we needed a seal. YOU CANNOT buy the seal alone. You have to buy this $27.00 replacement kit to get the piece. This piece was nowhere alone. Disappointing and feel taken for a small plastic ring. Even the U Tubers say ...this is the only way to get what you need.”
“Great OEM replacement but no longer includes the wrench tool needed to remove/install it. Good luck finding one—Champion 4 is discontinued from primary production.”
