Flush Valve Assembly for One-Piece American Standard Toilet Reviews

Replaced over-engineered contraption from my $400+ toilet. Removing the old one was tricky—hidden screws underneath. Had to carefully cut it apart. This new one is simpler and works well.

We returned as it wasn’t the right one for our toilet.

Worked for replacing parts in a toilet that kept running.

No need to pay a plumber $550. Just four screws. Works great. If you can’t handle that, you’ve got bigger problems.

For those unfamiliar with toilet repair, it can be a harrowing experience to repair leaking tank. My toilet had an old system that was not only leaking but obsolete. So with a little help from YouTube I replaced the flush assembly with this unit. So far --so good!

Replaced a much different looking American standard 4" flush valve on a one piece toilet... I used some silicone gasket along with the foam sealing ring that comes with the new valve to ensure a good seal... New valve flushes great and I don't have any leaks. I noticed that this new valve requires considerably more force on the flush handle to operate.

Perfect plastic part, correct size for my Champion toilet. Easy install thanks to YouTube. I took photos of each step to help with reassembly.
