“we installed a utility sink in our basement and were trying to determine best way to drain the sink given basement level. initially we tried a sump pump basin, but due to access issues, couldn't provide the proper venting and it didn't work. also, the sump pump basin required a good bit of plumbing set up and multiple trips to hardware store. next we tried this unit. this unit was very straight forward and included just about everything needed other than pvc, hose/piping needed to run to drain. we screwed it to the bottom our drain coming out of sink and glued together the pvc and fittings, and then followed the directions about setting proper drain flow--which were spot on. so far, is doing exactly what we wanted it do. if you don't have space for vents and basins, this product is ideal.”
“I purchased this unit for my wet bar. I didn't have the means or the will to jackhammer the concrete and put in a traditional gravity drain. I ran 3/4 PEX through a soffit from my wet bar to my utility room where I tapped into a drain stack. I attached this pump per the instructions and watched a "This old house" youtube video on the installation. It went smooth as butter. Plugged it in and it was pumping like a champ. I throttled the outgoing water back via the included valve so the pump stays on rather than cycles. I couldn't be happier.”
