“Easy to install and it works great. Relieves me from having to run a vent line from the basement up through the roof so that alone saved me a lot of cost and time. You just need to make sure you install the valve & backflow preventer on the the outflow side of the pump. They allow you to control the flow of water through the drain so as to minimize cycling and then prevent it from backing up into the pump, causing it to turn on again.”
“My original Hartell LTA-1-ABC sink pump lasted almost 9 years! ... I bit the bullet and recently purchased an exact replacement and installed it yesterday. It works like a champ. These pumps are somewhat pricey, but they do a great job.”
“Everything about the install was very easy. One thing that I had a problem with was the rubber O-ring that is supposed to be set over the drain threads was too thick and it did not leave me enough threads to thread the pump on to the laundry sink. I did not use the O-ring, I just used a good amount of teflon tape and tightened it until it was snug. I had no leaks so apparently the O-ring is not necessary. My only suggestion for anyone who is installing it is to make sure you use the ball valve that is supplied with the pump so you can throttle the amount of waste water that is being pumped through the discharge pipe(the directions supplied show how to pipe in the pump with the ball valve and check valve). If you do not throttle the ball valve the pump will continuously cycle on and off. Once I made all of my adjustments the pump has worked great!!”
“I've had this installed for about 2 months now, no issues so far. It's not quiet, but it's not so loud as to interrupt especially since someone would be running a sink when it's going off anyway.”
