“I got these Elite USAs at just the right time. My gym closed down, and I'm about to move in a few months, so I didn't want to get tangled up in a contract just to leave again, so I was looking for other options. I originally got some CAP plates and dumbell handles, but I couldn't get them heavy enough, and they took way too long to change. After getting these and the Stage 2 kit (I plan on getting the Stage 3 kit soon), I can go from 10 to 70 pounds a side in seconds, opening up the possibility of doing supersets. These accompanied by an adjustable bench that folds up, I can do everything at home that I was doing at the gym. I love that they're made in the USA and have a warranty. The only thing I don't love is the knurled handle (most people like this), but I just put some bike handle bar tape on the handle and they're perfect. The knurled handle keeps the tape from slipping, and they're comfortable!
One of the things that I was concerned about with these, is being able to do wrist curls, but surprisingly I can. I have big wrists and I'm still able to do 90% of the movement which is amazing.
