“I love my PowerBlocks. There is so much packed in to one rectangle. The only thing I do not like about them is having to jump from 10 to 15 pounds, 20 to 25 pounds, etc. You couldn’t have found a way to do 12.5? 22.5? Etc.”
“Glad I went with these dumbbells, so far I’ve had 0 issues with them and they are quality USA made can’t go wrong. The price really isn’t that bad compared to other adjustable dumbbells out there especially considering how well made and easy they are to use.”
“The Elite USA 90's are great weights to have at home. They'll never replace having separate weights, but get damn close!
I do have one nitpick, and that would be the padded support bars next to the handle. They are definitely very close to your wrist, and actually prevent the movements of some exercises. This doesn't seem like it's an issue with the step up to the 100s.
Other than that, they feel durable, easy to switch out the pin for other weights, great grip, and look good!”
“Blocks are nice and take up little space compared to an individual set. Still getting used to the adjustment mechanism. Sometimes it gets jammed up because the fingers that go through the blow split wider than the intended weight. The weights also rattle when doing more dynamic movements, which when first used creates a wonder of whether the magnet part will get knocked out. The cage design is also something to note as being different. Doing a dumbbell hangclean had interfered with the fitness tracker that I wear. All in all, I haven't had a bad experience with them in the time that I have owned them.”
“Got the 50lb USA Elite set about 2 weeks ago and have been using them almost daily. Shipping was fast and they arrived in good condition. I use my office at home as a workout room as well, so I like how compact this set is.
The option to expand the set up to 90 lbs is amazing, I plan to do this over time once I feel like I’ve plateaued with the current weight. Would definitely recommend the knurled grips, they feel great and prevent slipping.
Switching weights is very quick if you are using 10, 20, etc increments. Gets a little slower when putting in or taking out the adder weights for increments between those. After a week of adjusting weights like this, my speed increased. It takes me 10-15 seconds to adjust both dumbells for the x5 and x7.5 lb settings.
The cage around the grip makes certain exercises a little trickier than with a standard dumbbell, but I’ve had no issues so far working around this. Happy with this set!”
