“Evolution was pristine, superbly maintained and the crew took excellent care of us. They thought of everything! Food was delicious and varied, lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and Ecuadorean specialties. We were lucky to have three experienced, knowledgeable and personable naturalists guiding and teaching us and leading us in a wide variety of activities. Lots of unique Galapagos experiences, laughter, gorgeous views, great passengers, naturalists and crew on a lovely yacht. We were thrilled with our Galapagos tour!”

“The Evolution Yacht was beautiful and well-maintained. The staff worked hard behind the scenes and while passengers were on excursions-private rooms were well attended and the rest of the boat was pristine at all times. Stephen, our cruise director, was the happiest, kindest person I have ever met. He was always around to make sure we had anything and everything we needed and to share information about the islands as well as the mainland. His pride for his country was very evident and welcoming. The food was authentic Ecuadorian fare. Pepe always had at least 2 different main dishes offered at every meal. Savory pork, multiple types of fresh fish, tender beef and chicken were prepared in various interesting ways, but the real treat was the multiple tropical fruits and varied vegetable dishes that were served with every meal! Pepe and his staff paid attention to people's special dietary needs and when we fell in love with the aji sauce they made sure we always had it available. Fresh breads were made daily, AND the desserts at both lunch and dinner were exquisite.”

“The Evolution was a great home base for 1 week in the Galapagos. Rooms were spacious, the indoor and outdoor seating for meals was nice, the bar area was comfy for having a snack or reading a book or just chatting and enjoying the scenery. Highly recommend.!”

“It was refurbished so well, it looks new. It is also the right size yacht, if it was much larger it would not be as enjoyable.”

We appreciate your comments regarding the pricing, and it's important to consider the unique context of the Galapagos. As a destination, the Galapagos Islands are inherently expensive due to their high demand, their remote location and the stringent regulations in place to protect this unique ecosystem. These factors contribute to the overall costs of operating tours in this region and anyone will find that, compared to other cruising destinations around the world, the Galapagos are always on the higher end of the scale. Our yacht Evolution, which proudly flaunts classic lines blending timeless elegance with modern luxury, falls within the luxury category. However, it's worth noting that compared to similar yachts in the 32 to 48 guest range, our yacht is actually at the lower end of the price scale. There are many other, less comfortable and more outdated yachts in Galapagos that are actually priced priced higher than the Evolution. Our positioning for this yacht offers a balance between luxury and value, providing a high-end experience at a more accessible price point. Moreover, the Evolution underwent a comprehensive refurbishment in 2018 and undergoes a full dry dock every two years (2023 was the most recent one). This ensures that every feature and amenity meets contemporary standards of luxury and comfort, surpassing many of the newer yachts in the Galapagos.
