Ratio Eight Series 2 Coffee Machine Matte Black / Walnut Reviews

4.8 Rating 22 Reviews
This is the best coffee machine I have ever used. It captures the depth and clarity of a true pour over and delivers it with flawless consistency. The process is effortless. You press a button and it handles everything with precision, from temperature to extraction. It gives you café quality at home every single morning. The machine is also beautiful. It looks and feels like a modern design piece and instantly elevates your counter. For anyone who values exceptional coffee and craftsmanship, this is a worthwhile investment.

Love the metal filter holder. However, it takes WAY too long for the coffee to drip through. Would love a 4 cup coffee machine with the metal filter holder

Hi Helen, thanks for the feedback! We’re glad you like the stainless steel dripper. The slow drip is not ideal. Have you tried a coarser grind to help with flow? Our CX team will be in touch to see if we can help troubleshoot further!

I absolutely love it! Do take note that there is no burner on this machine and it comes with a glass carafe. There is an option to buy an insulated carafe, but I have found that I put my coffee immediately into my insulated stainless steel coffee mugs so I didn’t need it. Very easy to care for..

We love our coffee maker. It does what it needs to do and the coffee tastes great! Unfortunately doesn't stay hot for too long so looking into the thermal carafe.

Review: The Ratio 8 Coffee Maker — Where Biohacking Meets High Design For years, I was fiercely loyal to my stainless-steel French press. It was simple, ritualistic, and produced delicious coffee. That is, until I listened to Dr. Rhonda Patrick explain how unfiltered coffee, French press, boiled, and espresso, contain diterpenes, oily compounds that can raise LDL cholesterol and other lipids, potentially increasing cardiovascular risk. Her fix was refreshingly simple: use a paper filter. An unbleached, non-toxic one, of course. And so began my search for a healthier coffee maker. Easier said than done. I hadn’t realized how challenging it would be to find one that didn’t quietly leach microplastics. Weeks later, after endless fine print and near misses, I landed on the Ratio 8 S2: arguably the most expensive non-espresso coffee maker ever made, but also the most exquisite. It’s gorgeous, all sculptural lines and hand-blown glass. But beyond beauty lies brilliance: a precision-engineered pour-over system. The result? Cleaner coffee, still rich in polyphenols, without the diterpene drama. Yes, the Ratio 8 is indulgent (I waited for a sale). Each morning now begins with a moment of beauty, and truly delicious coffee, design meets intention, with a healthier heart in mind.

We love this machine. The coffee tastes great. And we are pleased to know everything is either metal or glass where it matters. Great job!

So far so good! I just started using the Ratio 8 Series 2 last week. I'm in the process of dialing in the grind and amount of coffee needed for each batch size and coffee type. I love the bloom feature and the simple operation. So far the results have been outstanding!

Not only is this machine beautiful, but I with how much coffee I drink, I really wanted a machine that doesn't have any plastic in contact with water, and the Ratio8 Series 2 is the only machine on the market that has that feature.
