“I don't really use the Kone Filter as a primary filter, I use it as a holder for a Melitta paper filter. Paper filters make it much easier to dispose of the grounds (I don't put them down the drain). That said, I'm impressed with the quality of the materials and the precision of the holes. My only prior experience with stainless steel filters is with the woven mesh type and they tend to trap sediment and oils and clog up pretty quickly. This one flows freely and is very easy to clean any buildup that starts to accumulate around the holes. I'd like to have a filter like this as a dripper that can sit on top of my mug for making single cups.”
“The cone makes excellent coffee, but it is difficult to make a large pot of coffee without overflowing the grounds, no matter what size the grounds are. When we want to make a full pot we have to use the paper filters.”
