I just found my favorite kilt! Just unwrapped the tartan hiking kilt this afternoon, and after wearing it all day, I can truly say I like the versatility, the fit, and the construction. I wasn’t sold on the sporran at first, but I do like the size and compartments. The mesh pockets are ok. They could be improved upon by making them a little bigger-so I could at least get my hands in them. The loops and the clips are awesome! I can carry a variety of tools and gear while in the field. I realize this isn’t a tactical kilt, but there is a lot of hiking and camping gear that utilizes MOLLE systems. Maybe consider a few loops in the future? Either way, I will be purchasing a couple more hiking kilts-including the Cameron of Erracht, which one of my ancestors (Adams) wore on the 51st highlanders!

This is my first hiking kilt and it hit all the boxes! The material is the perfect weight for even the warmest days, and by adding the hose it warms right up for colder mornings, rainy days, and cool evenings. The only correction would be to the mesh pockets. The pocket on the right hip does not have a velcro close to secure a phone, and the one on the left hip that does have a velcro close is smaller than the right pocket, too small for a phone. My hiking and climbing partners are getting used to my new attire and thinking about kilts for themselves. Cheers

Excellent for a low price kilt. Advertised as a 8 yard kilt but really a 5. I like the sporran and the metal clips and pockets are handy. Not sure why the elastic holders. I'll buy another because it's a good walking around kilt. Material not light enough or water resistant enough to make a good huiking kilt except for short days in good weather--then it's fine.. Bottom line I like it and woild recommentd for good weather hiking. Not as "bulky" as utility kilts. I don't know about ususing it in athletics but I guess it's okay. Final thought: for a low cost you get an adequate kilt
