“I have only had the kilt for about a week, but have worn it almost everyday for at least a couple of hours, this is my first kilt. It is not appropriate for where I work, so I wear it at nights and on weekends.
Wore it all day Saturday and Sunday when the temperature was in the upper 90 deg F and very humid (Virginia, USA). Kilt was very comfortable, much more so than pants and cargo shorts.
It seems to be durable, time will tell, and the pockets are great. I bought this kilt for that reason and they work as expected. The rear pockets are deep with button closures, but also have smaller open-topped pockets stitched on the outside. That is a great touch and adds to its utility.
The only minor criticism is that when I bend over or kneel down, the kilt opens a gap on the front right and causes the non-pleated apron to get stuck behind the pleats on the right side of the opening. It is something minor, but when working and bending repeatedly and often, it gets annoying to continually straighten it out. I am hoping that after I wash it a few times it will hang differently and maybe this won't be a problem.
Fitting was exactly as described on the website. The Kilt fits well without a belt, but I wear one when working to hang knife/pliers etc. It is fastened with four denim-jeans style buttons that are very sturdy, but easy to get on and off.
I will definitely look to purchase another as I wear out cargo shorts.”
“I like the fabric weight. Pockets are a nice touch. I bought to be use as work kilt around the house for carpentry, gardening and painting. I think it will do well.”
